Whew, Mombot is smart! I think my mom might’ve fallen for that…though she’s gotten better at the technological research later.

Tiana’s ninja skillz win the Shades again, ky! she responded within the first minute of the strip going up and i don’t know how she did it – especially since she took the time to actually read and comment on the strip itself. she’s a speed demon i tell you!
I’d checked like 12 minutes before and it wasn’t up 🙁 So, I was hopeful. But I opened up bejeweled blitz on facebook in an other tab, and my toddler had woke up SCREAMING an hour ago, so she was in bed with me and LOVES watching me play blitz… I played two more than I wanted to before checking the strip
believe me, i understand the power of Bejeweled Blitz, ky – i had to swear off of it when i was getting ready for the Emerald City Comicon or i wouldn’t have gotten everything done in time. though i think i might get back into it again, soon…
I like reading, and comics are easy for me to skim for content…lots of practice, lol. 😉

This makes sense because three very awesome friends of mine were born in April! Two of them on the same day!
(No, they’re not twins, though. One is a few years older than the other.)

Today (4/4) is (one of) my sister’s 18th birthday. The poor girl’s not well but she’s finally able to drink in pubs so she plans to soldier on & go out with her friends anyway.

Coelasquid makes some pretty awesome stuff. Aside from LFG, her stuff is about the only other thing I’ve been able to get him to look at so far.

But I keep wondering (perhaps like Chaucer), why 6 as opposed to say 5 or 7 or 9 or a lightning bolt or anything else? For the first couple months, I thought it was some weird stylization of a yin-yang symbol, lol.
And following up on earlier comments about why it’s always the same shirt… whatever happened to that alternate version bot wore for the Spanish-speaking audition in strips 56 and 57? It looked so cute!
but then, (kind of in line with Pixie’s thinking on this) readers would be asking why the 5, 7 or lightning bolt, Kim! and that way lies madness. actually, there is a reason why he has the “6” but it’s something we won’t get to for a long time.

Mombot’s not a technophile or anything (just yet!), Maryz – the iPad’s pretty ubiquitous over here (as are all the ads and articles pushing the new version with cameras) so it’s definitely on her radar. i wouldn’t expect her to be talking about the Honeycomb OS or the PlayBook anytime soon, though. 🙂
