UPDATE: WonderCon 2012’s a thing of the past now, but a big thanks to everybody who came by the BOTbooth!
—
Hey, folks! My first convention of 2012 starts today with WonderCon in Anaheim, CA! Come over to the BOTbooth for a free sketch and commemorative BOTton (while supplies last) for JEFbot readers! Should be a great convention with tons of awesome artists, writers and celebrities. And I’ll be debuting some new merch, including a new t-shirt and BOTton, so come on down, check ’em out and say hi! Sorry ’bout the lack of a Friday strip but I’ve been bogged down getting ready for the convention. I’ll be tweeting from Anaheim all weekend, so check that out, and expect a new strip next week! Here’s the info:

have a nice time at the CON mate. ^^
Would totally pay a visit… if i wouldnt live in Europe ;-P
GASP
…..
may I steal your firsties glasses now?
too late…. already stole it…..8)
sorry, Thebogeyman – no Shades for blog firstings! (only comic firstings.) the ones jf#300 has must be counterfeits!!!
thanks, Dengro – hoping to bring the BOTbooth to a comic-con in Europe someday soon!
Love the commemorative BOTton and the new shirt design! 🙂
thanks, Mombot! hoping to get that new shirt up on the site, soon. 😀
OMIGOSH! I would willing live in L.A to go to this….but L.A is scary.
yep – L.A.’s definitely scary, JoLee. but fun, too!
Don’t want a botton, I want a strip! Too many excuses ;).
Have fun bro! I hope you get to see Hayden while you are there!
now i know you live in L.A., Slave1, so you have no excuse for not making it to WonderCon!
Good luck! Hope everything goes wonderful!
P.S. I’m still planning on harassing you ’till I know how you make your strips. (the whole digital sketching and outlining is a mystery that even some designers by my town have NO idea how is done. Yes, I did kidnap one of such creatures. After long hours of torture, no gaming and feeding them only broccoli they still couldn’t tell me how to “ink” a comic strip in Photoshop. He ended in a psychiatric ward, though).
WOW! Easy there Stalkerrazzi LOL!
ha! yes, everything was “wonderful” at the WonderCon, Jcb!
and i do plan to do a video on my sketching/inking/coloring technique when i have a little time to catch my breath. maybe before the San Diego Comic-con this summer? i think i could explain it without being tortured with broccoli and no gaming-time. 😉
was reading another comic that has a booth L.A.W.L.S.
thats the first time ive had 2 comics end up going to the same place
would you believe my booth was right next to Joenis of L.A.W.L.S., Anonymous!? we’ve actually become friends over the past couple of years or so, so it was awesome to finally hang out while exhibiting.
damn! Had I known that was even going on I would have made plans to go..! I love these things…
Maybe I can harass a friend to go, that’ll be fun!
i had such a great experience that i’m planning on doing WonderCon next year, too, steve! rumor is that it’s going to be in San Francisco, though, sadly.
New Botton?
NEEEDS IIIITTTT
it’s a Harry Potter-themed one, dj, taken from this strip. i’ll tweet it to you, if you’d like. 🙂
I’m sorry, but whenever I hear about someone tweeting, all I can imagine is that they’re being menaced by Sylvester the Cat. 😉
Hey, at least it’s a comics/cartoon-related thought, right? Just kidding, of course… hope you have a great convention, Jeff!
thanks, Kim! the con was a lot of fun. and Twitter should totally sign Tweetie as its corporate spokesbird.
One of these days I’ll go to a convention. I just can’t afford/don’t have the time to go to any right now. 🙁
i commend you, GB! cons can get really expensive – especially cuz they have so much cool stuff that’s hard to find in such a concentrated place anywhere else. as soon as you can afford to go, though, hopefully i’ll be at a con near you!
i want BOTton! :O
i’m trying to get them on the site as soon as possible, MrSnow! when i get the BOTshop up again, i’ll post about it. 🙂
Awww…poop. I can never go to cross-country conventions. It’s too far away, and I can’t afford to get there, nevermind taking off from work to do so. Have a good time for me, okay Bot-san?
Orlando or Tampa! Then KB and I can come visit! And I will take you up on the offer to help you run the booth!
woo! we’d have SOOOO much fun. 😀
i had a great time for you, and other readers that couldn’t make it, KB! like Pixie said, an Orlando or Tampa con would be awesome. if one comes up and it makes sense for me to go, i’ll do it!
And like she said, we’ll help run it! Would we have to wear costumes? I’ve only got medieval clothes and my Hitsugaya Toshiro outfit.
I would think we would wear the JEFbot merch. You know, advertising and all. I might wear a shirt that just says Pixie.
I could probably make the Cornfather’s superhero costume…maybe. Would that work?
Have a great time! I would’ve gone, if only I lived in that country. 🙁
thanks, ShadowShuffler! what country are you from?
The Philippines. 😉
Hope you are having fun at the con! I still have high hopes that we will make it to Phoenix in May. I’m working on logistics. It’s a damn long drive – maybe I”ll be able to find a cheap flight.
lots of fun was had at the con, Shanna! and, yes – seeing you in Phoenix this year would be AWEsome. we can totally hang out and stuff at the BOTbooth if you make it!
Good luck! Have fun, sell a lot and meet exciting people!
your luck must’ve reached me, Maryz, cuz all of that stuff happened!
but…but….i cant go there…toooo farrrrrrr…..
hope JB will have another BOTton contest after this…need to complete my set….
sorry you couldn’t make it, jf#300, but maybe i’ll make it to a convention near you in the future!
So…..tell us EVERYTHING! And let me know when I need to do my Tour Guide bit. Have to find my speech.
i’ll try and do a big blog post about it, soon, Pixie! although, it might have to be a short and sweet one, since the Emerald City Comic-Con is coming up soon! (like, next week soon.) *gulp*
YAY! So proud of you! Getting out there and showing everyone you’ve got what it takes. And i know your fans love getting to see, meet and chat with you, even if for a few seconds.
See, this just shows favoritism to people not in Texas!
ha! sorry ’bout that, Oz. i’m thinking about doing an Austin or Houston con this year, though. either of those close to you?
Austin is closer than Houston, give me notice and I can be at either one… They don’t call me the Wheeled Wonder for nothing! (They normally charge me $10 a pop)
Okay, I almost mis-read the last word in this panel.
Which is just as well, because I’m fairly certain you can’t pass out free ‘bottoms’ at a con. Not without facing some fairly serious charges.
That, and there probably aren’t enough of them to satisfy a whole con.
…I’m gonna stop now.
heheh. sorry to disappoint, TL-HCG – no bottoms, but i did give out lots of BOTtons to the readers that stopped by the booth!
See, this is what I get for not paying attention to cons. If I’d known that WC was going to be in Anaheim instead of SF this year, I would totally have found a way to go. *sigh*
