If you’re in or around Los Angeles this weekend then make sure you go and see Star Wars Saga in 60 Minutes directed by Patrick T. Gorman, my uber-talented buddy who also just happened to write the foreword to the first JEFbot book! (New printing available soon, hopefully.) I also don’t have to introduce Michael Cornacchia – the original inspiration for The Cornfather – whose laugh-out-loud portrayals of Jabba the Hutt, Admiral Ackbar and Nute Gunray, among other characters, are not to be missed. And, hey, I created the poster for the show – a riff on the classic Return of the Jedi poster – which was an honor!

As you can probably discern from the title, ALL SIX Star Wars movies are performed onstage in sixty minutes using minimal, clever costumes, wiffle bat lightsabers, folding chair X-Wings and Force Acting. It doesn’t seem possible, but it is; I’ve seen it. In fact, I’ve seen the original Star Wars Trilogy in 30 Minutes countless times – well, at least over 20 times, so I can vouch for its hilarity. Also, the addition of the Prequels does not disappoint. In fact, I can truthfully say that I’ve never enjoyed the Prequels as much as I did during this production, so get thee to the theater! This weekend’s the last chance you’ll have to see this run in Los Angeles, so go buy tickets now. Here’s the info:

If you plan on going, either Tweet me or let me know in the comments below – I’m hoping to see it again either Saturday night (Aug 18, 8pm) or Sunday afternoon (Aug 19, 2pm) so it’d be fun to get a tweet-up going.
