It is with a mixture of joy and relief that I present the last webcomic of this inaugural week for JEFBOT. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to check out the strip and especially to those who took the time to email me or comment. Please, keep the feedback coming as I love hearing what you think about the strips! Hopefully, you will all keep coming back to check on the exploits of the JEFBOT characters. The past 5 days of comics took me weeks to prepare, so starting next week, I’ll be starting a one-comic-a-week schedule. If I can do more I will, but for now, doing one a week will keep me plenty busy. See you then! Again, thank you!
Alright, so in “Brain Powers” I was really experimenting with color and expression to see how I could magnify Jeff’s concentration/frustration before he loses it. Also, this was the first time I drew Michael’s character in its current incarnation (the strip at the beginning of this week with Michael was drawn later) and I really dug how he came out. Michael’s currently using this drawing as his MySpace avatar, so I take it he likes it, too.
Previously, on JEFBOT:
• #1 Axis Powers
• #2 The Angry Scarf
• #3 Rob Schneider
• #4 The Styling Cap
If you’d like to be on the JEFBOT mailing list, email me at : jefbot@monsteryou.com and let me know (if you emailed me previously, you’re already there). Also, I have a new MySpace page, so if you’re feeling it, add me as your friend by going to http://www.myspace.com/jeffschuetze. It’s bare bones right now, but I’ll be beefing it up soon. Arigato! – Jeff
I think every actor goes through this…whether they actually believe they have powers or not! I sure have done it! Nice work bringing it to light!
Love the strip! Keep them coming!
thanks, laura! the thing is, i really do have powers.
Will the next strip consist of Michael sweeping up your exploded brain matter? That was some intense concentration! Great week of strips. I thoroughly enjoyed them!
Amazing super powers, Jeff. I wish you would use them when it’s your turn to clean the dishes. 😉 Btw, I like the four leaf clover on Michael’s t-shirt. Very “lucky”. Remember, it’s a FOUR LEAF CLOVER, everyone.
mitch: thanks, chica! i thoroughly enjoyed making them!
michael: four leaf clover. yeah, sure, ‘cuz we know how much you love the irish. 😉
FUNNY!!!!If you put today’s cartoon on a shirt I will buy it!
anonymous: rad! i’m sure i’ll be printing some shirts and stuff down the road. make sure you send me your email address if you haven’t already and i’ll put you on the mailing list. (send me an email at jefbot@monsteryou.com)
can you please use your brain powers to work so this agent I had a meeting with last Tuesday will call me back??? Thanks Jeff!
LOVED IT!
as soon as i start getting calls back from my meetings, i’ll get right on that! thanks, shari!!!
Yay!! week one accomplished! i loved all of them although I think I liked the Rob Schneider one the best. Congrats again!
thanks, c! hmmm, i think that means you enjoy my humiliation most of all! heheh. as for me, i just can’t pick a favorite of my evil spawn; i fear them all equally.
If I HAD to pick, I’d say the Angry Scarf is my fav! But I loved them all too!
Just found your webcomic and so far I am loving it.
do you still have room? what is the format of the clsases? how much is instruction and skills and how much is playing volleyball games? will they get to play any real games against other beginner teams?thanks
nosebleeds? is that your special power? to concentrate really hard and bleed through your nose? sorry but your face just looks too serious not to laugh about it!
