jefbot38_stampKnow that the only thing preventing my sister Linda from booking Ted and I on a skydiving flight for our birthdays this year was because, after finding a cheap company with such flights at Costco(!) of all places, she found the company went bankrupt due to a lawsuit alleging wrongdoing and negligence, before she could buy the tickets. Now, first of all, when looking to jump out of a plane at 14,000 feet so as to plummet to the ground at 115 mph, the last thing I want to do is find the company that’s going to make that happen on the cheap. In fact, like most people, I’d pay more to increase the odds that I’m going to survive once I exit the plane. Second of all, why she wants Ted and I to celebrate our birthdays by having a near-death experience seems to defeat the purpose of the celebration. Needless to say, birthday festivities were taken out of Linda’s hands and now we’re going to celebrate by doing something less dangerous, such as dinner at a restaurant, like normal people.

Happy Birthday, Ted!
