Not only did they let my sister return her iced coffee, they let her exchange it for a strawberry shake. Whatever the gift is for returning things, she has it.
Love this one! The facial expressions say it all. Xinda, if you’re reading this, I have some underwear that are now full of holes. Do you think you can come with me and try to return them at Sears?
Also: Congrats on your recent reviews (7/23) by Delos Woodruff’s What Did I Learn? and Amelia G’s (BLUEBLOOD.NET)…nice to know there are others who appreciate your stuff! 🙂
michael cornacchia, don’t tempt her, man. you know she’ll do it!!!
natalie, thanks! yes, dk was very good. i liked it better than hellboy. let me know what you think.
#1 jefbot fan, thank you! i saw the mention of JEFBOT on those other sites, too. i’m very flattered. 🙂
cheeroy, heheh. glad you liked it. i kind of saw it as jefbot looking at the viewer as another character. not as in breaking the fourth wall (something i’ve vowed never to do, unless for a very good reason), but as in the viewer is looking through the pov of lor or coolhand or another character who’s there.
lor, thanks! yeah, he’s just watching. i toyed around with him saying a couple things, but it was funnier with him silently watching the events unravel.
That is OUTSTANDING!!!! As a coffee connoisseur myself, I would suggest going to Starbucks…… as they would return anything because of their corporate promise, however, I also understand the need to support mom and pop’s!!!
P. S. Jefbot your web-comic ALWAYS rocks, but I miss they reminder… I’m lazy like that, and I enjoyed getting the email alert!
funnyshaffer, mcdonald’s ice coffee is pretty good, too! also, i hear ya about the weekly reminder, but actually, i’m thinking of scaling it back even further to like, once a month or for special occassions only. i’m torn! 🙁
cheeroy, heheh. glad you can relate.
morin, i looked at your site and, although i don’t understand French, loved the artwork, it’s really cool. thanks for visiting and the kind words!
bon, yes, my sister IS quite a force! 😉
shan m, i’m the same way. it takes a lot for me to return something. especially when i’m to blame for whatever i’m unhappy with. 🙂
“Gift” might be pushing it just a little, since her returns often come at a price. We almost got thrown out of Jack in the Box that day, Xinda has been banned from a few establishments in the city (it’s neat to look for her “watch for” picture on the wall of various Starbucks), she can’t go to certain cities without a disguise, and the Department of State has taken her passport away.
Ha! I found your comic through this particular strip; I’ve just recently started working at a local coffee shop and as soon as I was hired my girlfriend e-mailed me this strip with just the heading: “Your future, babe.”
That’s just how McDonalds is. I’ve seen someone return a fish sandwich without actually returning a fish sandwich. They got two ice cream cones for a receipt.
I think that guy behind the desk just pressed the “Code Xinda” button. (they know what she is capable of. they will do anything to not witness it.)
@Xinda if you see this comment, remember that the computer works better when its not destroyed!

Lol xD Great comic Jeff, and I saw Dark Knight. It was good. :3 Next, Hellboy xD
Perfect! 🙂 The expressions say it all!

Haha I love your face in the background on the last panel!!
Super funny! I, too, like Jefbot in the background watching it all unfold.

That’s because he knows she will shove that straw into his throat assassin-style if he does not comply!

i just realized, but my friend would try to do the same thing XD
Great strip ! Love the art, the writing ! Awesome !
The force is strong in this one!
I envy her power. I can’t bring myself to return anything unless I’m pissed off.
john k, ha! you know her too well.

She can do it because EVERYBODY is scared of Xinda! I know I am!

and it is so. so true. =)
