As an addendum to today’s strip: I’m not saying it was intentional, but did anyone else find some of the ads featuring The Joker for The Dark Knight, eerily similar to the imagery from the The Crow movie? You’d think Warner Bros. wouldn’t want to evoke another film whose on-the-rise, young actor died during production, but every time I’d see Heath Ledger as The Joker on a billboard, especially the ads that looked bleak and desaturated, I couldn’t help but think of Brandon Lee.
it’s eerie and sad, but the imagery is very similar.
They have been running a program on E about Hollywood curses and The Crow has its own special curse on the show as does The Dark Night … I dont think the makers of the show realized the similarity of the two… or else they probably would have mentioned the connection.
Wow! You’re right about the similarity! That is eerie. Funny how such coincidences pop up periodically like that.
Ha! I still have my “I have voted” sticker on my jacket from last Thursday when hubby and I voted. But have no way to take a pic. *sniffs* Ah well.
