Today’s strip takes place immediately after the events of last Friday’s strip, so if you’re wondering why the Cornfather has a hamster on his face or why a ferret is leaping out of jefbot’s grip, see JEFBOT.152.

Ohh! What now, Abraxas! Haha, I’m loving Musashi.
Also, I like the Cornfather’s face in the second panel. Keep ’em coming, Jeff!
thanks for the Musashi love, Lunik! the Cornfather’s face thanks you, too. 🙂
The colors for this strip are amazing! I feel bad for Abraxas (tears and a “meep” of pain and all! *sad face*), but I guess he had a taste of his own medicine coming to him. Cornfathers expression in the first and second panel are priceless! Musashi’s a little ninja hamster, turning and swiping Abraxas like that.. but it’s hilarious! Is it just me, or did Musashi get all muscle bound as he’s sitting atop Cornfathers forehead with his little tiny arms crossed?!? Haha I have a feeling this isn’t over by a long shot, but yet again another strip to make me giggle! Love it! 😛
yeah, i went a little more vibrant with the colors in this one, Spanky – not sure how they’ll reproduce in the eventual book collection, but glad they’re popping off your monitor appropriately! and Musashi does look a little more “buff” in that last panel. must be all the adrenaline pumping through his system after his “swipe.” heheh. btw, love your new avatar even more than the last one!
And you have black tees now, and in XL – my size! So bot one! *grin* Cause I look like leftover death in olive. But black – now that, I can pull off. Thanks for free shipping! Plus, I have insomnia, and I will wear that shirt when, like today, I’ve
had 3.5 hours sleep and the all disfunctions part really has gotten normal.
*wry smile* So the shirt cheers me up. Thanks!
always happy to sell a shirt to a fellow insomniac, Murrday! while you’re wearing it at 4am, know that i’m probably awake with you, toiling away on this webcomic! hey, did you get the email i sent you? check your spam folder, if not, as i had a question for you about which BOTton you wanted and haven’t heard back. thanks for the purchase!
Ha! I love it. It reminds me of my aunt’s tiny Boston Terrier who used to bully her Golden Retriever. One good nip from the terrier and it was all over. 🙂
isn’t it funny how little dogs always seem to be the bullies, Akialyn? 🙂
You hear a bell? Cause someone just got schooled.
so true, Foxmouse. and by a little hamster at that!
Meep! Abraxas wants to hug Cornfather and bad evil Musashi wont let him… No wonder Abraxas has a tear in his eye.
ha! yes! it would be a sharp-clawed, teeth-filled hug, but a hug nonetheless, Maryz!
Wow, bot! Great strip. This animal war just keeps getting funnier and funnier. I love that Musashi protected the Cornfather….or maybe himself but the Cornfather in the process. Hahahahahaha Again man, great work. MEEP!
thanks, man! you’re right – we can’t be sure whether Musashi’s intentions were noble or just self-preservation, but that’s something that will be clarified in future strips.
“meep” indeed. I love the way Musashi has his little arms folded in the last panel.
happy to see so many of you like that little detail as much as i do, estiveo!
I was half expecting the Cornfather to say, “I’m gonna love him and squeeze him and call him George.”
man, that was exactly what i was hoping to channel in this strip, eleventeen! glad we’re riding the same brainwaves.
Finally the Cornfather get a comrade!!! This strip had me laughing out loud for a minute straight! I love little Musashi’s hands swiping to protect…
thanks, funnyshaffer! yes, now the Cornfather has some protection from ferrets and spiders and deodorant sprays!
you guys need some REAL pets. 😉
tell me about it. for now, this strip gets all my attention and love, skinny.
Aaaah revenge. That was completely adorable ‘bot. @eleventeen do you watch Cyberchase cuz that’s what Delete says every time he finds something fuzzy and cute, especially rabbits.
yep, revenge is sweet, DJ. even for hamsters, apparently. 🙂
Awwwww crossed arm/paw hamster is win! 😀
thanks, Suku! who knew that tiny paws + arms crossed = adorable? i’m going to have to work that into more strips from now on. 😉
You go Musashi!!! Cornfather has as mascot and guardian hamster totem! W00t!
he does indeed, M/T! eventually, i think all the JEFbot players will have their own mascot/guardians. i already have Xinda’s picked out…
Why do I sense a Pikachu-like battle forthcoming
not yet, John K, but someday.
Dangerous little rodent, makes me want to say something yoda-like…
Nah, I got nothin’.
judge Musashi not by his size, DarkWolf901. 😉
Ha! Great turn of events! Cornfather is now an animal lover!
maybe not an animal lover, Stan. more like a Musashi lover, for now. 🙂
The tear is AWESOME! You showed the small animal side of the killer beast.
glad you liked the tear, Jereme! do you have a tissue for the killer beast? 🙂
Great as usual!
well, thanks, Zelos!
Hahaha, that was great. Tough little bugger!
apparently Musashi’s been working on his upper body strength, Jeff.
This is turning into quite the epic battle! The tears in Abraxas’s eyes are just too funny…
glad you liked the tears too, speearr! this epic battle’s not quite over yet so there may be more tears to come!
he’s cornfeather’s secret agent on a mission to protect his face!
but whether he has a license to kill or just to protect remains to be seen, Xias135!
Yay for Musashi!!! Just ’cause he’s bounce and cute doesn’t mean he’s defenseless. That should teach Abraxas.
*evil laugh of horror*
I would also keep him
*cuddles Musashi*
Michael’s expression of horror in the first panel was priceless *LOL*
I love how this story turned out. Still… I was waiting for Michael to SNAP and kill everything in his path…
*evil laugh while hiding under the computer desk*
yes, bouncy and cute and equipped with wolverine/hamster claws!!! i knew you wanted the Cornfather to have blood, Sonitan, but i’m glad you’re happy with the way things turned out (Musashi got a little blood from Abraxas, at least!). plenty more opportunities for the Cornfather to snap in the future! heheheh
Aw. xD <3 That’s adorable. <33 Haha loved Jeffbot’s face in the first panel.
thanks, Nat! maybe a Musashi BOTton in the future to capitalize on the adorableness?
Ha. I have a dog, a cat, a guinea pig, a hamster, and a turtle all living under the same roof and they all get along well. My cat is trained not to eat other pets so well, that if you put the hamster ON him, he just glares at whoever’s near buy. Doesn’t even bother to shake the hamster off. Just glares with a passion no one will ever know.
ha! i have a mental image of your cat’s face, Takla, and it’s not pretty. you need to take pics and send them to me. heheheh. it’s awesome that you have so many animals. i miss having a bunch of critters running around.
i knew it….cornfather and musashi are kindred spirits…thats why they both look the same and thats why abraxus keeps attacking cornfather…mystery solved……cutest panel ever goes to musashi on the second panel…swiping the evil abraxus with no hint of fear in his eyes….you go musashi….lo.l……jeffbot looks disappointed that abraxus didnt maim or destroy musashi…shame on u….lozl……the force is strong in this youngling
yep, you’re right, JF3: Musashi and the Cornfather are definitely kindred spirits. it’ll be interesting to see where their relationship goes from here. and about that second panel – i had Musashi looking more aggressive in the pencils for that one, but it seemed to suit him better with a more “matter-of-fact” expression, so i changed it during the inks. glad you dug it!
I’ve been without internet for the last couple weeks. I’ve missed my regular dose of Jefbot. But I’m back! Haha!
glad you’re back with us, Klowd19! hope this dose of JEFbot cures your lack-of-Internet woes! 🙂
Hahaahahahaha! I love the last few strips and this one too. I’ve been a real flake about the past couple weeks…haven’t been keeping up with any of my comics (so don’t feel bad Bot)….Matter of fact you should feel great because this is the only comic that I feel rates commenting on 😉
wondered where you’ve been, Eptha, and glad to see you back! and yes, i always feel great knowing i have such quality readers and commenters such as yourself on these boards. now don’t run off for so long ever again. 😉
Hahaha! It’s always the little people (or animals, in this case) that win in the end! ^_^
there’s something very satisfying about that convention, Kristina! especially when hamsters are involved. 🙂
Jeff, did you ever get my e-mail about the problem I had Tuesday posting a comment for this comic?
just checked my inbox and didn’t see your email, reynard61. give it another try – i’d like to know what happened.
That hamster reminds me of a overweight calico cat (she either died or wandered off and found a new home about two years ago) I had a few years ago (creatively named patches) who was generally laid back with everyone… Unless you annoyed her, in which case she unleashed a torrent of feline fury on your arms, legs, and generally any unprotected skin, We adopted a Rottweiler Shepard Chow Chow mix (No idea what you would call that, and I don’t think that even begins to cover what breeds he’s got in his bloodline) A few years ago from the pound, and at the time our cat was restricted to the indoors because there were several people in the area who let their dogs roam free at all hours of the day and there was a chance that someone could call animal control on her (even though she was obviously someone’s pet, because unless she wasn’t neutered she couldn’t get that fat as a stray) However a few days after we brought him home and he had managed to kill a rabbit the second day we had him, Patches got out. We were trying to frantically find her when I noticed that our dog was chasing something out in the backyard, I noticed that that something was our overweight calico cat. While he’d seemed to react pretty well to cats that they used test him with at the shelter (AKA he didn’t try to rip apart the cage to get to them) they were, of course, caged and they didn’t have a chance at triggering his hunting instincts, So we ran outside and my dad tried to get our dog to leave the cat alone just in case his reasons for chasing her weren’t as benign as they seemed to be (he looked like he just wanted to play) but he was too interested in his new playmate. Evidently Patches decided that she’d had enough of this and she turned around and swiped at him, Our dog was stunned by this and the fact that what he thought was a chubby cat who want to play with him was probably cussing him out in cat, so he ran off whimpering with his tail between his legs. From that day on, He left Patches alone, and she let him live.
