Like many (if not most) of you, I call and text friends when it would be just as easy to talk to them directly. Like, say, when they’re in the same building or in the same room, as in today’s strip. The Cornfather’s counterpart, Michael Cornacchia and I will text each other while sitting on the same couch, either because we’re too lazy to speak or because texting has become our primary means of communication.

But back to today’s strip – I rarely watch video on my iPhone, but when I do, I can be assured someone will call me sometime during the duration of the program. This happens even if I haven’t received a call for hours. Or days. In fact, if I feel like talking to somebody, I’ll start playing a video just because I know it’ll trigger someone to interrupt it. People have a sixth sense about these things.
