Why, oh why did they decide to close down one of the busiest freeways in L.A. the weekend the final Harry Potter movie comes out!? For those that don’t know – and if you don’t live in L.A., I wouldn’t expect you to – a ten mile stretch of freeway is being closed this weekend so some major construction can be done to tear down (half) a bridge and widen some lanes. While this might have caused some minor alarm in other cities, here, we’re referring to it as Carmageddon. (It’s kind of funny the amount of hysteria that’s been happening over the past month or so, here.) And if you don’t have a Portkey or the ability to Apparate to get to the other side of town over the weekend, well, then you might just feel Stupefied while trapped in your house or car for two days.
Anybody else seeing The Deathly Hallows Part 2 this weekend? Let me know what you think (without spoilers!) if you’re going. If I can make it into Hollywood, I should be seeing it Saturday night. Crossing fingers that the filmmakers ended this one right!
Good time to stay at home, I think.
good advice! unless you’re planning on seeing the final Harry Potter flick on opening weekend. (which i know a lot of L.A. geeks are gonna be doing.)
and unless you’re writing under a pseudonym, i’d say this is your first Firsting, B13! wear these well, as they’ll let you see any wrackspurts that might be buzzing about:
😎
No, I hadn’t heard about that. Close down the 405!?! That settles it; CalTrans has finally flipped their collective wigs.
I imagine it would be rather nuts down here in San Diego if, say, the I-15 or I-8 was closed. I shudder to think of it!
There’s always I-5, I suppose. During rush hour. 😛
Right, until you factor in all the other people who are also going to be taking the I-5 because the 405 is closed down…
some think it might not get too crazy, Insectoid, (citing the prediction that the 1984 Olympics was going to shut L.A. down, which didn’t happen) but i know i’m going to try and stay off the streets as much as possible this weekend.
and traffic going to San Diego during ComiCon is bad enough! let’s hope there’s no Carmageddon II near you anytime soon.
Basically half of Los Angeles just vacated the city. So…. I personally experienced like, no traffic at all. Mildly hilarious, I thought.
Also, my favorite title for the 405-closure was “Autodammerüng”, which I SWEAR my friend came up with before the people at K-Mozart.
Yeah, I’m not looking forward to the traffic this weekend… I would just stay home, but I have a shoot this weekend, so I have to be on the road. That’s… not going to be fun. (The driving part, I mean; I guess the shoot itself should be okay.)
well, having an acting gig is one of the few reasons i’d brave driving around L.A. during Carmageddon, Read. break a leg!
Wear kevlar? *wink*
Yes, that’s why my response kinda sucked; I needed my Firsting shades; mainly to deal with this evil Kansas sun…but yeah, soooo much HP7 love tonight; I had to miss out though 🙁
yeah, i had to miss out on the HP7 love too, B13, otherwise i wouldn’t have finished the strip. and yeah, the Shades of Firsting make pretty good sunglasses, too! 🙂
In my little city of Logroño I drive 15 minutes to work, and after work 5 minutes to the nearest cinema. I know big cities got a lot of things to do but to live little cities are the best.
And in Spain the food is fantastic 😉
Yeah, I’m 5 minutes from my local cinema too; but with the HP traffic, it’s like 20 minutes; pretty cool to see so many fans though.
that fan excitement is why i must see it this weekend, B13!
that all sounds great, ContableEnorme – sign me up! it takes me about an hour to get to work, then over an hour to get home. luckily, there’s some awesome theaters in Hollywood that are about 5-10 minutes away from my apartment, provided there’s no apocalyptic traffic jams happening. 😉
don’t speak of food! i’m always hungry after posting a strip!
If you don’t mind giving semi-personal info, where in Spain do you live? We are hoping to plan a trip sometime in the next year. Woot! Can’t wait!
In Logroño, La Rioja.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logro%C3%B1o
I hope you like it. 😉
It looks beautiful! We have friends in Valencia, so we will probably go there, but I am not sure where else yet.
Cornfather looks more bummed than bot! I imagine that would suck. Luckily I can’t drive.
yeah, at least bot doesn’t have to drive (not that there’s much driving going on), Descolada – probably why the Cornfather looks so bummed. 🙂
I´ve seen it and it was strange. Some things really different from book, some added, some left out, too much actors for such a short time (nearly everybody from all films at least a thirty second appearance), but really great soundtrack. But they could have done better, it´s the last one after all.
i finally saw it, Kie-chan, and i agree – many things were different from the book and not always for the better. i ended up enjoying it but (as i’ve pretty much felt with all the films Yates directed) thought it could’ve been so much more.
I’m not braving the theaters this weekend, but in two weeks, I have tickets to the IMAX. Honestly? I can wait until there’s a chance to hear the actors.
I read the first Harry Potter book before they hit the US — I was in Canada and picked up a random book in the kids’ section. I read it halfway through before my friends could pry me out of the store, with the first two books. A friend in London sent me the third one just before they were available here.
I’m a fan of the stories.
I saw the first movie in the theater, loved it . . . .and then never saw any of the others (life and two babies intervened) until I checked the first half of Deathly Hallows out of the library two weeks ago in deliberate prep for seeing the finale.
I see each movie as an imaginative, kick-ass homage to the books — fanfic on film. Excellent fanfic—I love fanfic and I appreciate the love and imagination behind it—but the source material is still better.
Sorry . . . monologuing . . .
I agree 100% with everything you just said. (Well, except I wasn’t lucky enough to get the books before they appeared here. I think I started reading them after the second one had already come out in the US.)
i saw the IMAX 3D presentation of it, Sarah W, and i thought it was totally worth it! while i normally don’t care for 3D for most films, i thought, in this case, it really added some cool dimension to some of the set pieces.
agreed: source material’s better, but yeah, the movies being a “kick-ass homage to the books” is pretty accurate. just wish they could’ve gotten a better director for the last four films.
Ill certainly see it. Not sure if in theatre or if I will just wait for it on TV but I will watch it. Then again, who wont?
One of my friends went yesterday and I might have gone with them but life interfered.
uhm… how exactly?
My cellhone died again so I had no echo if they got a hold of additional ticket. Still dont know if they did or not.
hope your cellphone’s all fixed now, Maryz, so you can go and see it! wasn’t perfect but it wrapped up the film series well.
One multiplex had 5 out of twenty theaters just for this premiere at midnight…they all sold out! That’s just ONE theater! Florida has tons! This movie will be breaking records.
I love this series and I almost hate to see it end. I won’t be seeing this movie anytime this week in the theaters…they will be insane for at least one more week.
I don;t understand why they shut busy roadways at all before they have some kind of alternate or something. They have NO idea what we go through. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Don’t get me started on stupi DoT!
wow! makes sense cuz i read that it just surpassed The Dark Knight for the biggest movie opening ever, Pixie! happy to see so many people excited to see this one.
yeah, that’s the thing i was most sad about when the credits started rolling: knowing that this was the last in the series.
fortunately, Carmageddon has come and gone! looks like they got it done early, people stayed off the freeway and all went well. yay!
Ah, you poor muggle. I feel bad for your non-magic ways. I will be apparating with my husband to the local theater tonight to see Part 2. I crocheted myself some life-sized radish earrings which I will post a picture of after I add the hooks and take a pic. Anyone else wearing wizard wear to the showing? I would have made something Hufflepuff to wear, but by the time I decided I wanted to, I didn’t have enough time. 😛
By the way, nice job on the HP poster. And I love how happy you and CF look as Gryffindors on your brooms. I might have to save that one to my desktop wallpaper folder. 😀
hmm… if there’s enough interest, i might make that first panel into a wallpaper, shanna. i’ve gotten a couple emails suggesting this as well as a request from Mombot. 🙂
Dooooo Iiiiiiiitttttttt!!!!!!!! 😀
HP was AWESOME! And while I”m not a huge fan of 3D movies, I think this one worked. It wasn’t all about the 3D. It just gave it more depth.
And if anyone is interested, here’s a pic of the radish earrings I made and wore:
http://flic.kr/p/a49wbB. I got a strange look for a woman in the bathroom before the movie, but otherwise, they got no reaction. 🙁 And no one was dressed up since it was Fri night instead of the Thurs midnight showing.
i agree that the 3D was well worth it, shanna! some of the shots – like the dementors floating outside the shield – really popped with the 3D. it was also cool seeing Hogwarts rendered in 3 dimensions. it’s a dark film, though, so if a theater happens to turn down their projector bulb, as some have been doing, i can see the film being murky and hard to see.
those are some AWESOME radish earrings, shanna! i wanted to wear a Griffindor scarf, but didn’t get one in time. and my friend was supposed to whittle me a wand, but didn’t come through in time. 😛
*erases whole rant about how Chicago has closed down one of its busiest ramps for roadwork indefinitely, concluding with a shout to the skies that Chicago is the best of places. 😉 *
Never saw a HP movie in my life. Besides, I got Dance with Dragons to read!
been hearing Dragons lives up to the hype, Kate! now i really need to catch up so i can read it. 🙂
I thought it started out really slow, but my sister is constantly screaming at me to read faster because it gets so good!
Sounds like the norm for the I-5 Parking Lot as we call it out here. And of course you know we have to close down a major stretch of highway on a weekend… not during the wee hours of the morning like normal… haha dumb luck
i always try to avoid the 405 on a good day, Psynapse! fortunately, they got the construction work done ahead of schedule, so drivers (including myself) should be able to get to work without a problem tomorrow.
Love the strip! So timely!
woo! thanks, #1JF! if you’re in L.A., hope you were able to stay off the freeways this weekend. 🙂
You might be a Gryffindor but CF is mos def a Hufflepuff.
I saw it at midnight last night, it was great. Some scenes where changed and some were added, but still awesome. And who the movie shipped totally made my roommate happy. But I posted that on my fb. 😛
i think you’re right, DJ! the Cornfather’s totally Hufflepuff. i’d definitely be in Griffindor, but if the Sorting Hat put me in Ravenclaw or Slytherin, i probably wouldn’t object. 🙂
which house would you be in?
Hufflepuff with some Slytherin thrown in. Take over the world and plant flowers.
HP? no thank you
awww.
Snape Snape, Severus Snape.
Ron, Ron, Ron WEAS-ly. Ron, Ron, Ron WEAS-ly.
Team Snape!
And, if you are interested in the PPPals, check out these finger puppets I made: http://www.flickr.com/photos/25428243@N06/5795784682/in/set-72157626171550489/ I really want to make the whole set, but these are all I have done so far.
Awesome! 🙂 Hope you get to make the rest.
how do you make such AMAZING things, shanna!? these are so adorable/awesome.
Well, in the spirit of full disclosure, both the radish earrings and the Potter Puppet Pal finger puppets are from established patterns, but with my own modifications since it is almost impossible for me to crochet stuff without modifying it. That’s not the case with knitting patterns, but crochet, definitely.
DUMBLEDORE!
Unrelated but I tried to get my friends to sing along with this but sadly it failed.
Brilliant strip, Jeff. I suspect that it was somewhat therapeutic to draw in light of the certain headaches this will cause you.
yes! very therapeutic, Stan Yan, even if Carmageddon started and ended with kind of a whimper. 🙂
It seems California and Arizona are somewhat similar, in that they like to close major thoroughfares right before periods of expected high travel. That’s why it would be so much easier if I could fly. Or better yet, teleport.
I will be seeing it tonight. And then not getting a lot of sleep before I have to wake up and go to work at a theater showing it.
yes! i’ll take either, Striker: flying would be more fun but teleporting would be more convenient. i hate driving!
so what’d you think of HP?
Easily the best movie I’ve seen this summer. And I got into HP way late. I never read any of the books and the movie I started with was “Half-Blood Prince.” So after that, I had to get caught up. I still haven’t read any of the books, but with this final movie in the books, I hope to do that here soon.
glad you enjoyed the movie, Striker! i’ll admit – it was a lot more satisfying than some of the overhyped prequels and sequels i’ve seen this summer. (apart from Kung Fu Panda 2 – that movie totally lived up to the hype!)
and i’ve read all the books, but after watching this movie, i think i’m gonna re-read The Deathly Hallows.
I’m going to see HP today!! I will let you know tomorrow how it is… I just got done rereading the books last week and I’m fairly excited to see the last movie ^_^
so what’d you think of the final film, Eptha? after watching it, i feel like going back and re-reading The Deathly Hallows.
That movie was one of the best I’ve seen in a while.
Definitely the best HP film. It was beautiple on so many levels.
ENJOY IT! :3
i definitely think this was the best of the past four films, Ahero! Prisoner of Azkaban is still my favorite of the Potter flicks, though. 🙂
Great Strip!!! Love the expressions!
thanks, pinkee!
Never really got into the whole Harry Potter craze, which is pretty funny considering that I was given the nickname Ron Weasley at work. Apparently I slightly resembled the actor that played him, at least before I started dyeing my hair and finally settled on just getting a buzz cut. I do love the expression on your faces though; exactly matched the ones on my niece and nephew (and brother-in-law) when my sister told them they couldn’t go to a midnight screening. The bro-in-law was the loudest in his whining. 😀
ha! the actor who played Ron (Rupert Grint) in the movies was awesome, Maddgodd81, so i’d take that as a compliment! hope your family members finally got to see the movie. 🙂
Yeah, they went the day after. I was then subjected to a two hour rant about how it’s the greatest movie ever made as well as the story of Potter being more spiritual than the Bible. Who went on this rant, you ask? No, not the 18 year old niece, nor the 16 year old nephew. It was the over 50 year old brother-in-law.
Oh, and you’d think that when I dyed my hair black, that would’ve stopped them from calling me Weasley, but instead they just started calling me emo Weasley!! lol
Okay saw the midnight showing of Harry Potter and all I can say is that it was a totally fitting end to a great franchise. There were a couple liberties taken but none that were crucial in any way to the story so it worked out great! I saw it w/o the 3D and it was great so I wouldn’t shell out the extra money for 3D.
i was afraid i was going to be disappointed with the movie, Jereme, but i agree: it was a fitting end to a great franchise. yeah, i thought a couple big moments were skipped over too quickly (just like in OotP and HBP) but overall, a worthy end to the series!
This is why I got my tickets for a theater within walking distance to my house. And at a time BEFORE the freeway closed, just in case!
PS this strip is EPIC WIN.
thanks for the EPIC WIN pronouncement, JJ! i wish there was a theater within walking distance of my apartment. ended up seeing it in IMAX 3D at Universal CityWalk. luckily, everybody was staying off the roads so no traffic! 😀
God I wish we could fly this weekend! Can’t wait for Harry Potter!
Beautiful strip this week! Love the detail in the 2nd panel.
even though Carmageddon’s now over without much drama, we’re gonna be back to horrible L.A. traffic tomorrow, FunnyShaffer. 🙁
so… wait… what happened to the Angry scarf?
We’ll be seeing that some time next week. (if Jeff doesn’t have his mind blown after watching the new HP movie, that is)
mind wasn’t quite blown, Fijiman, but the Angry Scarf storyline will have to wait until i get back from vacation the week after next!
we’ll be getting back to it soon, taranchilla! the previous strip was just a little foreshadowing for a big story soon to come. 🙂
Yikes, glad I live on the East coast right now. Although, we had something similar a year or two ago where a hole formed in a bridge that was right where a fairly busy freeway/highway let off and it slowed traffic down to an unbearable crawl all over the part of the city I live in. It took us at least an hour to get home using a route that usually only takes us ten to fifteen minutes.
And I would much rather fly to some place than teleport there due to all the risks of teleportation. Of coarse I would also choose a jet pack over a broom, but that’s just me.
looks like Carmageddon’s over for now, Fijiman. that is, until next year when they work on the other half of the bridge. stay tuned for jefbot in – CARMAGEDDON: THE REVENGE!
and if i could have a Nimbus 2000, i’d probably go for the broom. 😉
Nice looking strip today Bot. 😀
I’ve been seeing notes on Carmageddon from various tech magazines on Twitter and thought maybe some actual car smashing was going to go on. So misleading. 🙁
thanks, TCG – i’m happy you liked the look!
and, yeah: can the hyperbole and hysteria get any greater than naming the freeway shutdown “Carmageddon”!? heheh. and they got it done ahead of schedule and without much incident.
Actually, the Carmageddon you saw in the tech magazines was probably the original, which made this whole thread confusing, since Carmageddon is a video game made in 1997, to which they are now making a sequel.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carmageddon
I’m aware of the game. I used to have it. I was talking about tech magazine sites having info on this real life “carmagedon”.
Good luck with the traffic…
I’ve just watched the movie (well, a couple hours ago, it’s 3 AM here…) and it’s not bad. I’m not sure you really can call it the best movie of the franchise (I have a fondness fot the third one), but it’s definitively a good one. Some aspects of the story could have been shown in greater depth, but it’s already a long movie, so I can understand. And some of the “forgotten” stuff were things I found a bit boring, And so I’m grateful they weren’t used.
Not enough of Severus, though. Always been my favorite character, since the beginning.
Oh, a piece of advice for the people that have read the books: count the ears.
PS: please excuse the eventual mistakes I made, English isn’t my natural language.
I just saw the movie as well and felt more or less the same about it. It’s not that I thought it was bad, in fact I don’t know exactly what to think about it to be honest. I still highly suggest everyone else see though.
yes, i’d recommend it too, Fijiman. in fact, i might have to see it again, soon.
i’m a big fan of Azkaban, too, dralou – i’m pretty sure it’s my favorite of the series, as well. so much style, quirkiness, danger and magic in that one. if they had let Cuaron direct The Deathly Hallows, (i heard a rumor he was interested) it would’ve been something epic and emotional. as it was, we got a good ending, but it could’ve been truly great.
Severus was so wasted throughout the movies! i’m not sure why they didn’t play up his part, especially in the last four films, as he’s such an important character. it’s almost as if Yates hadn’t even read the books. took away a lot of emotion that could’ve been there in the final film when all was revealed.
I just returned from the movie theatre, and let me tell you it’s MONEY WELL SPENT! It was so amazing, and now I have to get used to the idea that a part of my childhood ended, well…we still have pottermore, and that I will always remember!
I just LOVED when prof.McGonagall did the “Piertotum Locomotor” spell, and then she sais ” I always wanted to do this” That was for the win!
How I wish I could fly a broomstick just like you and CF did on the first part of the strip, if only….it would be sooo ecological 😀
I loved that part too, but do a spoiler alert before commenting about stuff like that so that it isn’t ruined for others.
yeah, it’s kind of weird we won’t be seeing a new Potter film next year, nicobot. watching most of the cast age with the movies over the past decade created a movie experience like no other. the series (and the players!) will be missed.
yes! it was awesome seeing McGonagall unleash some magic, finally! when she was firing off spells in the Hogwart’s hall it was pretty awesome, as was the “Locomotor” spell you mentioned. 🙂
i sOooOOoo wish i had a broomstick like bot and corn in the strip, too. heheh. green friendly, indeed!
they fucked the story up… well, at least in my opinion…
I’ve read the book and the end is changed in many ways (location, happenings, bla blubb)
at least -if you don’t know the book- you would enjoy it the movie
nice boss-fight
good SE
somewhat talented actors
but do yourself a favor and wait for the DVD…
the cinema will be full of annoying children who giggling, eating popcorn and scream in the scary moments…
gosh, I hate movie-theaters -.-
Really? You must live in a city full of immature people then because all of the people in the theater I when to were very well behaved. Even the little kids.
yeah, they could’ve done more with the emotional beats and character arcs, Malkav, but i don’t think it was a complete failure. while it’s hard not to think about “what could’ve been” i think we still got a decent wrap up to the series.
and while i hate all the distractions, kids and rudeness in some movie theaters, too, i’d still say this one’s worth seeing in a cinema to get that whole “community experience.” many fans were clapping, laughing, crying and cheering throughout the runtime, and you just don’t get that experience watching it on DVD at home. plus, it’s the last one, so it’ll be one of the last chances people will get to experience Potter in the theater! 😀
You know, I think if both parts were to be seen as a whole film it would make the second part feel more complete than it did when seen on its own.
Yeah I’ve been seeing all the news reports. Shutting down the freeway looks pretty awful, especially in the middle of July. It’s movie season! Then again, is there EVER a good time to destroy a ten mile stretch of road? In California? Yikes.
good point, Angela – there really never is a good time to shut down freeways in L.A.! fortunately, this one went smoothly, and traffic jams, hysteria and looting were mostly avoided this time. 🙂
You think that ten miles of highway closed over two days is bad? In 2003 Indianapolis was looking forward to a mere 3.5 miles of highway being closed for 85 days during the so-called “Hyperfix”. Quite a few “Gloom-and-Doom” predictions leading up to that project too! Luckily it got finished a month ahead of time.
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3724/is_5_67/ai_n6127045/
85 days!? wow, L.A. would practically come to a standstill if the 405 were closed for that long, reynard61! and luckily for us, the construction looks like it’s been finished ahead of time over here, too. 🙂
One of the things that helped was that they kept one unobstructed lane open at all times during the construction. Another was that they planned several alternate routes on city roads and kept them heavily patrolled by both police and the Hoosier Helpers traffic assistance service.
Looks like someone needs a teleporter or failing that… maybe Wil’s flying car?
nice! i hadn’t even thought of that, jiro maeda! i’ll have to see if Wil will let me borrow his car for the next few days. heheh.
I’ve been hearing about this on the Jerry Doyle radio show. He’s getting a certain amount of sadistic glee from it, since he used to live and work in LA.
God, more HP stuff…that’s all anyone was able to talk about backstage Thursday. They had to be yelled at multiple times during the show to SHUT UP because the audience could hear them. >_< Though to be fair, I was just as bad when the LotR movies were coming out, and I'll be just as bad when The Hobbit movies come out. 😀 So I suppose I must be somewhat understanding.
What show are you doing?
Comedy of Errors. I’m a minor non-speaking Ensemble role, but I have fun costumes, so I can live with it. 😉
Sounds like fun. 🙂 Some of the plays my high school plans on doing this year include Hairspray and Little Shop of Horrors. Should be lots of fun, but I won’t be able to get too involved because I’m not a student any more. 🙁
Hairspray and Little Shop (my high school did this one, too) are such fun shows, Fijiman! at least you can go check ’em out and take pride knowing that you were a part of your high school theater department’s legacy. 🙂
Oh I fully intend to go over and lend a hand whenever I can, but once I have a job it might be a bit of a challenge from time to time. I will be sure to watch all of the shows, however.
oh, and break legs in advance, T! (and remember: there are no small roles.) 🙂
i still haven’t caught JD’s show, Tiana! keep forgetting to subscribe to it when i’m listening to podcasts.
and CANNOT WAIT for The Hobbit. i loved that book and animated movie so much when i was a kid. and so far, it looks like PJ’s gonna hit it out of the park!
When stuck in traffic, radio on all the way blasting “Welcome to The Jungle” People will move faster just to get away from you.
i’ll give that a shot, Descolada. thanks for the tip!
like ten minutes after i read this comic it popped up on my web browser about the insident aperantly you beat the periodic cycling of msns page since im only on there long enough to see 2 of thee usual 5 pefore i jump to my destination
and since i hit that page at least 30 time a day im suprised i learned about it here before i did on msn
is it bad i get all but maby 5 minutes of news from the internet
and the only reason i have a paper is for sports and comics nowadays
ha! awesome that JEFbot was ahead of the news cycle, drakeye! 😀
and yeah, when i used to get the paper, i really only read the entertainment section and comics. everything else, i would read on the internet, which is why i don’t even get a paper any longer. kinda sad.
Awesome movie, all the best parts of the book were made even better. I got to see it at the midnight premiere, which was kind of fun, at least for the camaraderie that came along with it. Everyone was cheering, laughing, and at one point crying together.
my theater was pretty much the same, Andy – Potter fans crying, laughing and cheering. was pretty awesome to behold and i was glad to be a part of it, even if i, myself, shed no tears. (was close at a couple of points, though!)
And THIS folks, is EXACTLY WHY I torrent in movies.
Potter is one of the few I’ll pay for the DVDs of, but that’s it.
i’d say this one’s worth seeing in the theater, John – it’s kind of a cultural phenomenon at this point, and it’s exciting to get caught up in “the end” with all the other Potter fans in the theater. 🙂
At least there is one less car on the road because the two of you are depicted as car-pooling, so why not take the H.O.V. lane?
that’s true, Bl4ckw0lf – at least the Cornfather and jefbot are doing their part to keep traffic down. sadly, i bet that H.O.V. lane’s packed, too. what they need is an H.P.7 lane! 😉
And that is why you need three people in the car, one of them female, and seven broomsticks tied to the top of the car, that way you know that you’ve created your own H.P.7 H.O.V. lane.
I don’t know how any fans will react to this idea, but a friend of mine put this idea forth, and I found it to be a very interesting take. What if Ron and Harry had wound up together at the end of the story, instead of Ron and Hermione? Would it still be as beloved? Would there have been a HUGE outcry of disgust from the homophobic community?
I never even got to see Deathly Hallows Part 1 when it was in the theater. I’m hoping/anticipating that they’ll bring both back for a double-feature special after Part 2 has had its theatrical run. (I also haven’t watched all of Goblet of Fire, but what I saw seemed poorly made and a little too corny.)
LOL did you really dress up for the movie? How was it?
So, while everybody else talks about the Harry Potter part of the comic, I would just like to point out that the title is a three-way pun. I don’t know if that was intentional or not, but I liked it (and the comic, of course) anyway 🙂
