heheh. yep! bot couldn’t help but risk the Scarf’s angry influence again for a few multiplayer rounds on his 360, Angela.
and yes! the Shades of Firsting are yours! wear them well – they might just help you earn a high score in a co-op/multiplayer game (when you’re playing by yourself, of course.):
😎
*sigh* don’t remind me, Fijiman. my PS3’s actually gotten more of a workout lately, but it’s been over a month since i played anything besides blu-rays on that, too.
Jury is still out on the good/evil thing, Angela. Video games are not all good — as a freelancer (earning money only if I’m not distracted by diversions), I know this first hand.
yeah, it seems as if “videogames” inform bot’s perspective on a lot of things, dchorror!
as for Twitter: there’s generally a 5-10 minute gap between the time i post the strip and the time i tweet about it. although if i remember, i’ll try and do both near-simultaneously for wednesday’s strip, just for fun. 🙂
Actually, that 5 minute gap isn’t that bad, cause there’s also a gap between when it is tweeted and when trillian tells me, and it’s never a consistent gap.
Awright! I think that would be entirely too much fun…though I might go blind trying to keep track of four different screens. I am an inexperienced gaming nerd, I know. I’m working on that, though!
But video games are great for hand-eye coordination — ‘bot may or may not know it, but he’s training himself, and maybe the scarf, too, depending on its sentience.
I’m wondering if ‘bot will have to pilot something created for four hands. Or six, considering his natural prehensile toes — which still weird me out a little, by the way.
you may be on to something with your second paragraph, Sarah W – playing those complicated games and relying on hand-eye coordination might just help bot master control of the Scarf!
heh. you know jefbot too well, Maryz! and yeah – bot better keep a bit of his attention focused on not biting through his lower lip. since he’s playing games and controlling the scarf, his intense concentration might get the better of him. 🙂
as for whether bot can take the Scarf off or not – well, we’ll be getting to that, soon.
morning, Pixie! (well, good afternoon, as i write this. heheh.)
and, yes – i like how you put it: bot would no doubt feel pretty guilty about leveling the Cornfather. it’s a good thing he “whiffed” in the previous strip. 🙂
no update on contests and such, but soon! (if some of the contest spills over into next month, so be it! just means more celebratin’.)
The “We all knew jefbot would have to try this out with the Angry Scarf at some point, right?” text loaded before the comic (lousy work computer) and I was expecting to see Jefbot swinging through the streets ala Spider-Man…I was pleasantly surprised.
On the other woolen hand…having the scarf hands hold/play a controller with one hand just feels…unsettling, alien, and wrong.
heheh. remains to be seen if bot ever achieves “spidey” levels of mastery over the Scarf, Joe! if he had the proportionate strength of a spider – maybe. but i fear bot would “splat” the first time he ran into the side of a building. this isn’t to say he won’t try, however. 🙂
“unsettling, alien and wrong.” – i like the sound of that!
it’s true, shanna! wow, now that would be impressive – i can barely play the drums and sing competently, if bot could do it all it would be mind-boggling. he could take over the world! or at least, maybe his neighborhood.
glad you like that second panel! i’m kinda digging it, too. maybe a future BOTton?
i wonder if jf can beat the scarf in a death match in halo or would his connectio nto the scarf allow the scarf to read his actions before he does them
hmmm… good question, drakeye. probably dangerous for jefbot to let the Scarf control itself, though. if he relinquishes control, who knows what evil atrocities the Scarf would commit!
HAHA JB! I hope that is hooked up to 4 TVs so you can play all those games you are backed up on at the same time! I know if I had 2 extra appendages … that’s what I would do too………..
nope, he’s playing splitscreen, Slave1 – but i almost had him playing on two screens, one playing a 360 game and the other playing a PS3 game, but figured jefbot’s brain would short out from all the computing that would have to take place for that to happen. 🙂
(Dark evil sounding drums & cords…)DUN. DUN. DUN!!!! Hilarious. I LOVE the last panel. It is the perfect super hero/villain frame! The detail of the frayed pants is perfect!
Good to see bot’s got his priorities straight. 🙂 I just hope his scarf’s not a sore loser, or the next strip could see him getting choked out by his own power.
heheh. i agree, Striker – somehow i doubt the Scarf is gracious in defeat. although in this case, bot still has control over it, so they aren’t necessarily playing against each other.
Hmmm, I wonder what Cornfather would say if he came out again and found jefbot playing like that?
Love the internal struggle ‘bot has before caving in and living the gamer dream. Just hope that the game is one that requires you to SAVE people, not KILL them; perhaps that would help to influence the scarf to become a force for good.
BTW, why is rage considered a bad thing? Take Mr. Furious from Mystery Men; his rage helped him to be a hero… sort of.
yeah, seems like bot’s pressing his luck by engaging in one of the most rage-inducing forms of entertainment whilst he has the Angry Scarf on, Anime fan.
Hooray! He is using his powers for…video games? OK, at least he’s not evil.
And am I the first post? Do I get the shades?
heheh. yep! bot couldn’t help but risk the Scarf’s angry influence again for a few multiplayer rounds on his 360, Angela.

Unlike some people who seem to have not touched their Xbox in a long time.
*sigh* don’t remind me, Fijiman. my PS3’s actually gotten more of a workout lately, but it’s been over a month since i played anything besides blu-rays on that, too.
Well I’m sure you’ve been busy with work and your 3DS.
Don´t be fooled Angela, he is playing EVIL VIDEO GAMES (Doom sound). And yes, you beat me by 4 minutes.
you could be right, CE! and playing videogames isn’t exactly a great way to keep one’s rage in check, either. 🙂
Jury is still out on the good/evil thing, Angela. Video games are not all good — as a freelancer (earning money only if I’m not distracted by diversions), I know this first hand.
this is exactly why i’ve kept my XBOX 360 powered down for most of this year, Stan!
SECOND!
woo! you get the Inviso-Shades of Seconding, ContableEnorme:
Woo! My first shades. I shall wear them proudly.
woo!
EVIL VIDEO GAMES indeed. Heh heh heh (intertwines fingers maniacally)
At least he has the frame of mind to put it in perspective.
And man…not even close. Twitter has failed me again.
yeah, it seems as if “videogames” inform bot’s perspective on a lot of things, dchorror!

ah. well, shoot.
I can’t even begin to say how much I’m enjoying this storyline Jeff 😀
Keep ’em coming ^^
thanks a ton, Kaze! that’s awesome to hear. 🙂
Awright! I think that would be entirely too much fun…though I might go blind trying to keep track of four different screens. I am an inexperienced gaming nerd, I know. I’m working on that, though!
four screens is nothin’ Tiana – i use three screens just to put JEFbot together! (main computer screen, cintiq screen, ipad.) 😀
So much for superhero antics. I should’ve expected that Bot would put gaming first before fighting crime. Still creative use of limbs there.
priorities, jiro!
wait a minute…..you cant play with 4 people JB. ur scarf is 2 hands and count as 1 player….i caught u there. hehehehe
yeah, but the Scarf’s “fingers” are way more dexterous than a human hand, jf#300! meaning one scarf hand is worth (at least) two human hands. heheh.
damn….u caught me there
I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!
heheh.
Well, of course.
But video games are great for hand-eye coordination — ‘bot may or may not know it, but he’s training himself, and maybe the scarf, too, depending on its sentience.

and sorry ’bout the toes. 😉
A-HA! I have been waiting for this since the controlled movement was revealed. Dint bite your lips off Jefbot, Cel might object to you without them.
As for the rage thing – nice to see that Jefbot is thinking this through. But Im somehow sceptical about him being allowed to take it of.
heh. you know jefbot too well, Maryz! and yeah – bot better keep a bit of his attention focused on not biting through his lower lip. since he’s playing games and controlling the scarf, his intense concentration might get the better of him. 🙂
as for whether bot can take the Scarf off or not – well, we’ll be getting to that, soon.
Bet that takes a tremendous amount of concentration.
indeed, TPC. bot’s brain is no doubt getting a workout.
HAHAHAHA! THis is hysterical. I totally did not see this coming.
I guess it’s better to use it’s powers to level up then level the CF.
Can’t wait to see what Wednesday brings.
Did we ever get an update on contests and such?
Oh and MORNING Boteers!
morning, Pixie! (well, good afternoon, as i write this. heheh.)
and, yes – i like how you put it: bot would no doubt feel pretty guilty about leveling the Cornfather. it’s a good thing he “whiffed” in the previous strip. 🙂

Ah ha ha ha ha. Awe. Some. I love it. And you could play Band Hero by yourself too! 🙂
I absolutely LOVE the second panel. It is totally made of win.
it’s true, shanna! wow, now that would be impressive – i can barely play the drums and sing competently, if bot could do it all it would be mind-boggling. he could take over the world! or at least, maybe his neighborhood.
glad you like that second panel! i’m kinda digging it, too. maybe a future BOTton?
BOTton! BOTton! BOTton! BOTton!
He finally gets to finish Portal 2!
I know that’s what I’d use it for. I would finally be able to complete the co-op campaign.
the co-op campaign is so much fun, Striker. can’t wait for more DLC levels.
woo-hoo! indeed, Skooby77! in the Real World, i finished it, but need a sentient scarf to now go back and get all the co-op trophies.
Playing Call of Duty against yourself? 😛
heh. maaaybe, TCG! would be funny if bot’s on one team and the Scarf’s on another.
i wonder if jf can beat the scarf in a death match in halo or would his connectio nto the scarf allow the scarf to read his actions before he does them
hmmm… good question, drakeye. probably dangerous for jefbot to let the Scarf control itself, though. if he relinquishes control, who knows what evil atrocities the Scarf would commit!

(Dark evil sounding drums & cords…)DUN. DUN. DUN!!!! Hilarious. I LOVE the last panel. It is the perfect super hero/villain frame! The detail of the frayed pants is perfect!
thanks, FunnyShaffer! glad you dug that last panel. “Dun dun dunnnn!!!” is right!
Good to see bot’s got his priorities straight. 🙂 I just hope his scarf’s not a sore loser, or the next strip could see him getting choked out by his own power.

methinks the Cornfather would have a small heart attack if he came out and saw what was happening in that last panel, Maddgodd81!
and, true: jefbot may be inadvertently teaching the Scarf some bad morality, depending on which game they’re playing.
as far as rage goes: i agree! if bot could just learn to control his rage (and therefore the Scarf), maybe he can use it as a force for good!
I would totally try that
heheh. i figured, dj. 😉
It’s the only way to REALLY be sure you’ll be able to play L4D without annoyance…
agreed, Alechsa. 🙂
Careful Bot, gamer’s rage can be one of the most powerful.
yeah, seems like bot’s pressing his luck by engaging in one of the most rage-inducing forms of entertainment whilst he has the Angry Scarf on, Anime fan.
you’ve gotta be kidding me….
damnit that is awesome…
ha! glad you found it awesome, steve. now if only i could make and market a gaming scarf like that…
I’m sure the video game developers are at-work now, after seeing this strip.
heheh. if they want to make something cool, they know where to contact me, Lor.
BEHOLD! The ULTIMATE Gamer! KING OF MUTLI-SINGLEPLAYERS xD
WOO! for now jefbot’s king of multi-singleplayers, Sk1nn4h, but wait ’til he goes online for some deathmatch! 😀
Best use of superpowers EVER! I wonder what game he’s playing?
I had an awesome day today. Why? Well, it’s because today was the first day of school and I didn’t have to leave the house. I love being graduated. 😀
i’m happy you don’t think bot’s wasting his powers on frivolous stuff, Fijiman!
and yay for graduating! you’re freeeeeee!!! now go get a job. 😉
I hope you like the color “PINK”….
I don’t want to get consumed by the rage! I have a great idea, lets play a video game that will most certainly bring on gamer rage…smart 😉
Ooh… let’s hope there’s no rage quits with the scarf involved.
