If you’re in Los Angeles this weekend (November 5-6), come on down to the L.A. Convention Center for the first annual Comikaze Expo, where I’ll be selling JEFbot books, shirts and other merch at booth #3601! This is the first L.A. convention I’ve done, so I’m pretty excited to see friends that haven’t been able to make it to my other appearances, and local JEFbot readers I haven’t met face-to-face yet! As always, I’ll have a special, free BOTton (see image) for fans while supplies last.
Although this is the first Comikaze Expo, it looks like they already have a cool line-up of writers, artists and celebrities (including Stan Lee, Mark Hamill and Ernest Borgnine!) so let’s hope this is a great success and they’ll have another one next year. For the full list of guests, as well as the different events, contests, parties and directions, check the Comikaze website, here: ComikazeExpo.com
If this goes as well as some of the other conventions I’ve done this year, I know it’s going to be a blast, so come on down! Schuetze Family members will be there throughout the weekend, including Xinda, Mombot, Lor, Popbot and Coolhand. I’ll also be Tweeting and/or Facebooking during the con, so check those sites out for any news during the day. Hope to see you there!

Jeff, I had no idea you were such a big fan of Ernest Borgnine! I suppose for me, the italicized name on the guest list would be Tippi Hedren, though Mr. Borgnine is a favorite too, esp. his earlier “mean SOB” roles, hehe.
I haven’t been to a comic convention for several years, and this looks like it will be fun! I’m seriously hoping to check it out. Looks like they gave you a good booth, right near Stan Lee, whom I’d love to congratulate on the 50th anniversary of Fantastic Four #1.
i actually just thought it’d be funny to emphasize Ernest Borgnine’s name, Kim, although I do like his work. heheh. i’m a fan of Tippi Hedren as well, and actually have a couple of her books and 8x10s signed. i also have a picture with her, but i refuse to post it here as it was taken in the 90s, during a period when my hair was ridiculous.
hope to see you at the convention!
You know the rule: you mentioned the photo’s existence, so therefore you must show it to me at your earliest opportunity! I also have an autographed copy of one of Tippi’s books, and according to my book log, I purchased it in March 1992 at Collectors Bookstore. Is that when you were working there? Wow, you would’ve been… um, old enough to vote. 🙂
