I’m happy to report that my dad finally makes his debut in the digital pages of JEFBOT with this strip. Yes, it’s true we don’t hug much but we show each other affection in other ways, like with knowing nods and prolonged silences, which can sometimes be just as emotional.
Yay! DadBot! 🙂 Very nice debut. I totally get the dynamic.
LOVE It! Couldn’t have described it better! (w/words) 🙂
You’re Dad looks fantastic! Comgratulations on yet another brilliant strip this week, Jefbot. You have proved that even without words, your comic speaks volumes. You’re the greatest web artist out there.
Dad likes me best! I just grab him and hug him and now in the last 10 years I think he’s starting to get used to it…
your depiction of gene is so gene. i love it! i love it! i love it! i love it!
so, what did you get gene for his birthday? call me, i might want in on it or you might want in on janets present…… i mean it call me, when you get back from nj or you might be staying in nj in the fields by the blueberrys…
GRANDPA!!!!!!!! Check out the shirt. Check out the vest. The details are what makes this webcomic spectacular, spectacular. Ahem, don’t you have a key??
Nothing says love like a prolonged, awkward silence. Great job man!
Wow. You completely summed up the relationship I have with my father in 4 panels.
I’ve never met your parents and I love them already. Great job!
Nice job Jeff, I was a little sad at first, and then I read your note!! But yet again you captured the moment perfect!! Congrats on your dads debut!
ahh, is your dad a small or medium?
prolly one of my faves!
Ah, ‘bot! I had no idea that it might be awkward to hug your dad! I mean, we’re hugging and making out all of the time, I just figured that it would naturally segue into your family life, too! hehe.
sorry for the delay in responding; been in new jersey for the past two days and haven’t had time to get back here until now. was curious about what the response to this strip was going to be, since the subject matter’s a tiny bit heavier than usual, so was happy to see that you guys seemed to still dig it. i have the best readers. on to the comments!
