Since jefbot can’t use his balance board anymore, this strip concludes the Wii Fit storyline. Sadly, my own board is currently gathering dust under a couch, but I’m hoping to get some use out of it before I start packing on the pounds once Thanksgiving hits. It might already be too late.
If you missed ’em, here’s what happened previously:
• Getting Fit
• A Bad Fit
• What a Feeling
I love it. Your strips have such energy!
especially when xinda’s destroying things! thanks, kevin.
@_@
You’re sister… is as evil/crazy as my mother. But then again, Xinda has all the rights to be angry. The WiiFit is a bit mean. I remember that when it got out there was a “blog” from a psychology team advicing parents to be careful how weight-sensitive kids could take the “opinion” of the game about their weight since it didn’t considered muscle mass and it could call “obese” to people who were not. (If I remember right, there is this group whose puspose is to help prevent kids from becoming bulimics/anorexics that were sort of making warnings about WiiFit as well).
Since we don’t have a Wii (we really dislike it like hell, don’t ask, my cousins think is a mental thing my family has) I’ll never have to worry about someone getting upset and destroying video game items. We’re a bunch of Sony hardcore fans I guess. Except me. I still have most of my SEGA game systems… and functioning as a matter of fact 😉 As a matter of fact, I think I’m gonna go play Soul Calibur in my Sega Dreamcast. Ta-taa until the next comic!
it’s true that the wii fit is a bit mean if you’ve got the muscles (not that i would know) but it doesn’t help if someone’s sabotaging you, either 🙂 i loved my dreamcast. so many great games: sonic adventure, jet grind radio, phantasy star online, resident evil code veronica, soulcalibur, the list goes on!
awesome! However – it took me a while to realize that you were pushing down ont he wiifit board with your foot. Only noticed it he second time I was reading.
yeah, i was afraid of that, tomix. changed the white circle to a red square so people won’t miss it.
Doe this damn thing tell everyone they’re obese so you just keep playing it and buying more of them after you throw it out the window???
yes. it’s part of nintendo’s new business plan. and it seems to be working. 🙂
Yep… that’s exactly how I felt! Love the strip! No words needed this week! Great job.
thanks, funnyshaffer! funny how the wii fit seems to bring everyone’s rage out.
Please, please PLEASE tell me she didn’t!!!
no, i have purposefully kept the wii fit away from linda. i’m sure in some alternate universe though, the events in today’s strip actually transpired. 🙂
Oh man, there’s no way that could have ended well. Love the subtlety of the foot on the board. Also, I really dug the background shadowing. I may have to steal that technique 🙂
i’m always taking apart things from movies, cartoons, comics, videogames, paintings, architecture, etc. and learning from it. so having someone find something to learn from me is flattering, john. steal away!
LOVE that foot on the board, too!! Excellent work Jefbot!
:-“) thanks, mary!
Just be happy it was the WiiFit and not you, right?
true that, eleventeen. jefbot’s just lucky xinda wasn’t wise to his little prank.
You go, Xinda! Don’t let that fascist machine push you around! (And Jefbot: Serves you right…)
yeah, jefbot was kinda playing with fire there…
I think you had your foot on it when the Wii Fit told me I was obese. 😉 Ha! Great strip yet again, bot! I love the colors and the expressions as always. And I love how you show Xinda destroying things. …so true to life.. 😉
heheheh. you’ll never know.
Dirty dirty trick! Haha I wanna try WiiFit but I can’t find it ANYWHERE it’s ridiculous!
i agree Cheeroy: it’s TOTALLY ridiculous. especially when you consider the wii fit shortage has been going on for SEVERAL MONTHS!!! ah, well. hopefully nintendo will be able to ramp up the supply for this holiday season.
Oh! How could you? You deserved that!
nobody deserves to have their videogames destroyed, Shan! especially one in such scarce supply as the wii fit!!! NO… buh… dee… okay, you’re right; jefbot totally deserved that.
I actually loved the white circle, although I DID have to go back and look at the panel a second time… it works either way. I guess we comic artists can’t afford to be too subtle.
i liked that white circle too, stan. it just wasn’t drawing enough attention to itself. still considering changing the red square to white, though. unfortunately, if it doesn’t draw people’s eyes, the joke is lost and would confusingly look like Xinda actually is obese. maybe if i thickened the circle’s line width…
I think we can fill in the dialogue for Xinda! 🙂 Love the artwork.
heheh. yeah, if the dialogue was actually filled in, i’d have to affix a “parental advisory” sticker to the site. 🙂
On the contrary, I think it was worth the price of a WiiFit board to get back at Xinda for spraying the deoderant in his face. But I guess I’m just evil like that.
yeah… YEAH! you’re right, Eptha! jefbot’s actions were totally justified!!! which means Xinda owes him a new balance board.
hah! I hand’t seen this one yet! how the hell did I miss it?
haha……so cruel yet so justified
Cookie diet???? Kobe Beef diet!
