Although many JEFbot strips are somewhat autobiographical, this isn’t one of them. As far as I know, my mom did none of these things, and if she did, I don’t want to know, even if it means unlocking the secrets of why I can’t burp. Click here to start at the beginning of the “Burpless” storyline.
Ha! “I know where you can get a great deal on Beano and Vicodin.” I love it, I laughed out loud!!! I know where you can get hot oil!!! Burb on Jefbot! Nice work!!!
thanks, funnyshaffer! i may have to take you up on that deal if the Cornfather doesn’t come through. 😉
Made me laugh! 🙂 … maybe a good tap on the back?,,
now that i’m a older, it might take more than a tap. 😉 thanks for the laugh!
where? such a tease.
i’ll let you know as soon as i find out, Shari.
Oh geez. We’re not going to have to endure a strip of Cornfather rubbing warm oil on JeffBot, are we?
don’t forget the “japanese lullaby.”
LOL! Why is this making me hungry?
i’m sure it’s the “baking soda smoothies,” Jeff. mmm-mMM!!
Air Eating!!! ha! when does Mombot get her own strip?
glad you liked the “air eating” – it’s one of my favorite things from today’s comic. heheh. and judging by mombot’s popularity, she’ll be taking over this strip any time now, g!!!
when you were a baby, i had no trouble burping you. in fact you’d burp and then spew white curdled vomit everywhere. and once when i was bathing you, you fell underwater & when you came up for air, you threw up again! ahhh good times….
oh so! come over to big sis’s house and i’ll burp you and michael too!
i’m shocked and horrified by both your comments, sis. my first burp is going to be in your face. 😉
Some dudes have to pay big money for the bicycle motion/Japanese lullaby treatment.
heheh. tell me about it…
Burping, I believe, is very different than vomitting, Xinda. Love the dialog and last panel. Jefbot’s expression’s priceless, juxtaposed against the Cornfather.
thanks, Lor! isn’t there a combination burp/vomit – the “burp up”? man, what i wouldn’t give to do that… *sigh*
I think my favorite time was when you could not burp but also had the hiccups!
that still happens! unfortunately, the burpless/hiccup gets more and more painful, the older i get, Fig. 🙁
Ha! Very funny, bot. I love all the characters’ expressions and Mombot’s dialogue is hysterical. Really great work all around. No wonder Jefbot is the greatest webcomic in the history of the Internet.
arigato gozaimashita, michael-san.
Ha, of course you’re obligated to say that, since you’re in the strip, Michael.
Oh, by the way, I thought I’d stop by to announce that my partner in crime, Kevin Freeman just twittered that he’s the proud, new father of a baby boy! Swing by the SubCulture (www.subculturecomic.com) and offer him your congrats!
whaAAAaaat!? AMAZING!!! :-O
what true friend WOULDN’T rub oil on you and bicycle your belly while humming Japanese tunes? I mean that’s the mark of a true friendship. Where it goes after that is all up to nature…and how much Jack Daniels you’ve drank.
ha! if that’s not the test of true friendship, i don’t know what is, jhorsley3.
Is Mom playing a ukulele? I WANT HER FOR MY MOM!
you got it, BenPanced: she’s a cool, rockin’ momma on that thing!
JEFbot, you’re one lucky guy! Mombot is an absolute treasure!!!
true dat, reynard61. 🙂
Heyy the cornfather has a new logo on his shirt. Why the change?
heh. gotten a few e-mails about that very thing, Tystarr! just experimenting a bit with the Cornfather’s look. after the feedback i’ve received though, it sounds like y’all like his old symbol better, so look for its return in the next strip. 🙂
P.S. I finally finished your archives. You lead one great, wacky life! I *definitely* want to see more!!!
thanks for taking the time to read through the archives, reynard61! JEFbot isn’t a completely accurate portrayal of my life, but i will say my family does keep things interesting. 🙂 thanks again, and definitely more to come!!!
Oh, I was premature in the congratulations for Kevin — I’ve been corrected — he just found out the gender of their coming baby. Birth will be a ways of just yet.
ah. still: AMAZING!!!
I love Xinda’s comment of “When I was bathing you you fell underwater and when you came up for air…”
That was no accident!!
this is why i’m always stressed out and paranoid, John!!!
Haha! Just like a mom to tell you something to put your friendship to its greatest test, LoL. The expressions are great!
Ok. Cornfather looks WAY too excited in the last frame.
Hi. Just found your webcomic (linked from Weregeek) and started reading it from the beginning. Lots of good stuff but I *had* to comment on this one. I laughed so hard there were tears.
Love the Xinda character, by the way. Assassin who knits scarves The Doctor could wear? In the immortal words of Animal (from “The Muppet Show”), “My kinda woman!”
so i know this is two years old but i wanted to mention that theres some drink/dye they give you at hospitals so they can see your innards and it literally makes you burp. i had it and it was so frustrating cause they kept tell me not to burp. so go fake some stomach problems and maybe you can score some of that 😉
i just remembered its made with barium, so, uh, yeah
hmmm… i’ll have to ask my doctor about this the next time i go in for a check up, MissPaprika. maybe the barium will give me superpowers. or super burps. either way would be excellent. 😉
I’ve gotta try air eating 😀
