I dunno what it is.. but for some reason, I love the colors (and textures) in this strip. (The colors work well together, plus the shading is nice.) I see you added a bit of color to Jeffbot’s nose, nice touch. Kudos!
thanks for noticing Spanky. i was experimenting a bit with a brighter, compound palette, instead of the desaturated, complementary colors i normally go with. and yeah, i put that bit of color on jefbot’s nose to give it a little more dimension. and cuz it looked cute. 🙂
thanks, xin, but no worries – although jefbot’s agents just let him go in this strip, the events that inspired it happened a long time ago to me. so i’m over it. mostly. 😉
This one is really cool-looking, bot. I love the background and the expression on bot and the Cornfather’s face. Really good, work, man. It’s so vibrant. Unfortunately, the subject manner isn’t. I think the agency dropped you cause the already have a half Japanese, half American on their roster… Xinda. 😉
Dude. I think you need to give the people what they want. If these agents, casting directors, etc. all think you’re latino…well…let’s just say you should perhaps brush up on your Spanish. Hola director de casting. Como esta? Me llamo Jeff! 🙂
A talent agency that doesn’t know talent when it’s right under it’s nose??? Whooda thunkit? <⁄sarcasm>
(Maybe you chould put a portfolio of your drawings together and shop it around to the animation studios and/or the production/set/art/prop designers. Just sayin’…)
thanks, reynard61 – am flattered you think my stuff is that good! might be fun working for a studio as an illustrator in the future, but neither jefbot nor myself is quite ready to give up acting just yet. 🙂
heheh. yeah, i didn’t mean for this one to come off so gloomy, Eptha. but wow, seriously, you JEFbot readers are just awesome. with all this support i can’t wait until i get great agents again so i can come back to this storyline with a much happier ending!!!
i’m going to say what everyone else here is afraid to say. now that you are free from that bulls**t agency, it’s time for you to unleash your talents on the medium that will embrace it. gay porn.
for my own sake as well as the strip’s, i think i’ll pass on the porn industry for now and just get another agent. thanks for the career advice though, g.
i am conflicted on how i should respond to the above strip. i do hope jeffbot get a good gig in the future but if he does then what will happen to jeffbot strip? will it be continued or will it go away and disappear in the internet oblivion lost and never to be seen.
sigh…..this strip has made me feel that jeffbot is a real person or a friend rather than a distanced comic…its getting too personal…something that most strip are getting away from…
congratulations on making a strip that i can care about jeffbot…hope you will get a good gig…my prayers and wishes goes to you….
we are living in a hard time.
thanks for your comment, JF3. not all the strips here are 100% true and some are even 100% made up, but i do put a lot of myself in this webcomic, so hearing that you feel jefbot is a “real person or a friend” makes me happier than i can say. this strip and the people that read it have become a huge part of my life, and i can tell you JEFbot won’t go away even if i end up booking a movie or a weekly tv show. really, i would like nothing more than to be on set, doodling away on a strip while waiting to be called for my next scene. whatever changes happen in the coming days/months/years, as long as you guys are still here, JEFbot will be here.
Hey Jeff, Diggin the comic man! Just wondering, is acting a full-time gig for you? Or do you have to slave away at some other job like the rest of us bots?
thanks Josh, glad you’re digging the strip! and yeah, i’m a ‘bot’ like the rest of you, with a full-time job to keep the bills paid. i’m counting on my acting career, this webcomic, or a combination of both to be my full-time job in the future, though! keep hope alive!

Very ninja move to grab the remote from the Cornfather…
heheh. well jefbot is part japanese, after all.
yes, very ninja, and Cornfather doesn’t even mind! or notice.
they’re either trying to find something good on the tv or jefbot’s a jedi as well as a ninja. 🙂
Aww. Don’t worry Jefbot, they’ll rue the day they let you go. I envision your subconscious desire for revenge will see to that.
ha! big star talent better hide all the couch pillows in their waiting room, Foxmouse!
aaaahhhhh, poor little bro…. 🙁
thanks, xin, but no worries – although jefbot’s agents just let him go in this strip, the events that inspired it happened a long time ago to me. so i’m over it. mostly. 😉

can you imagine!? by just putting the thought out there, hollywood should be afraid… very afraid.
oh big star talent agency, what have you done!!!!!
say it isn’t so!!!
Dude. I think you need to give the people what they want. If these agents, casting directors, etc. all think you’re latino…well…let’s just say you should perhaps brush up on your Spanish. Hola director de casting. Como esta? Me llamo Jeff! 🙂
heheh. true dat, Sean Luke. unfortunately, jefbot’s last attempt at speaking spanish in a casting office didn’t go so well.
OOOOHHHHHH! Pour JEFBOT…F ’em. Let your talent shine!!!
thanks, JP!
ouch! they weren’t good enough for Jefbot anyways! 🙂
seriously! with the agency’s crappy track record, jefbot should’a been out of there a long time ago, alecho.

My condolences.
thanks, man. all in the past.
ok, i will go speak with the C.E.O. (all you had to do is ask)
heheh. thanks, xin, but i don’t think threats or violence would help this situation. 😉
Gloomy dude, but I agree with everyone else, They didn’t know they had a huge talent in their ranks.
heheh. yeah, i didn’t mean for this one to come off so gloomy, Eptha. but wow, seriously, you JEFbot readers are just awesome. with all this support i can’t wait until i get great agents again so i can come back to this storyline with a much happier ending!!!

That sucks… But the strip is wonderful!!! Love the look of this weeks!
yeah, having to find another agent does suck, but glad you liked the strip!
Heeb my geebies, Wright, you made me squirt Sprite out my nose reading that comment! Do you know how painful that is?
i am conflicted on how i should respond to the above strip. i do hope jeffbot get a good gig in the future but if he does then what will happen to jeffbot strip? will it be continued or will it go away and disappear in the internet oblivion lost and never to be seen.

Awesome! The humor, not getting dumped 🙂
Wow, Cornfather has very thin legs!
Now you can move on. I’m with Foxmouse.
