Awesome! As for bots ‘ick’ I totally agree that it is indeed disgusting to touch an unconsious, bigger-than-normal bird.
‘Cmon, hacking powers! I can’t shake the feeling that any moment now, one of the technimals will wake up and attack bot, and at the same time interrupt Mu’s attempt to hack their systems.
yeah, birds are kinda icky even at their best, DAS, and to touch a huge one (i’ve ridden an ostrich, so i speak from experience) is downright gross.

it was a while ago and i was probably 30 pounds lighter, DAS! and it wasn’t a pleasant experience; i actually did it for a Japanese commercial and was in fear for my life the whole time i was on the giant birds! you can definitely believe they’re descendants of dinosaurs when you get that close. 😛
Umm…maybe I’m overanalyzing, but….sentient-being-hacking has never gone over too well in my experience (see: season 8 of Supernatural and…other things I can’t think of right now).
Of course, I guess it’s not so much “reprogramming” as “deprogramming.” I mean, surely that parrot wasn’t a murderous jerk in the first place…right?
Also, MAYBE I should be worried about Mu’s eyes having the ability to go pixelated, but at this point I’ma just let it slide…
man, i’ve been hearing a ton about Supernatural lately, JOE! a buddy of mine used to try to get me into it all the time but i resisted, but after the Phoenix Comicon, where i was barraged with nonstop talk of Supernatural, i might have to check it out!
as for whether the bird was a “murderous jerk” in the first place: probably not. but it’d be funny if it was! heheh.
and maybe you should be worried about Mu’s pixelated eyes! it’s at least concerning.
I highly recommend it…just…start at the beginning. The first five seasons have a very good arc. Then there’re two kinda “enh” seasons where I was sort of wishing for the show’s cancellation (I did manage to turn my wife into a fan during this period but…I wouldn’t recommend it). Now with the last season, it feels like the show’s reinvigorated itself…of course, they keep going back to the well and using angels as plot devices, which, if you’re anything like me, you’ll get pretty tired of…but there’s still tons to like about the show.
thanks for the recommendation, JOE! i’ve heard the same about the quality of the seasons after the first five. when i catch up on all the other shows i have in the queue (Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Sherlock, etc.) i’ll try and check it out.

Jefbot needs to keep an eye on Mu and make sure his eyes don’t start turning red! If so, he just might need to hack of Mu’s tendril thingies. That’s all he needs is for Mu to go over to the Dark Side, regardless of the cookie situation! But with any luck, instead the parrot thingy will start to turn from a bad glowy red to a good glowy green. 🙂 It’s nice that you’ve color coded good and bad for us. At least, I hope you have! We are assuming a lot here.
you’ve got it right, Shanna – “glowy green” = good and “glowy red” = baaad. i’ve always been a big fan of color and loved how it was used in movies like Star Wars and (of course) Tron, so i adopted that trope in JEFbot. as for Mu turning evil: *shudder* let’s hope that doesn’t happen!
Radar implant might help instead of a cloak of eyes… Just sayin’
