Let’s hope jefbot can keep up the defense while Mu continues to hack the alien-enhanced, mutated bird creature. Whether bot succeeds or not will be revealed in next Monday’s strip! See you then.
Have a great weekend!
indeed! you got the first comment so you get the renowned Shades of Firsting, xaru! wear them well: these let you see what’s behind your head so no beasties can sneak up on you:
And thus, a great hero was born. And eaten. He tasted like chicken.
heheh. why does everything unknown taste like chicken, Graypatch!? good thing i like chicken. 🙂
I hear somesome adventuring/fighting muaic in my head while reading this strip.
Whack that mouse, jefBOT! *battlecry of awesomeness*
the *battlecry of awesomeness* is always a welcome sound when reading this comic, DAS!
Is it sad that I hear the soundtrack to one of the Pokemon movies in my head now?
“Your the best – around! No one’s going to keep you down!”
I think yes, yes it is… sigh
JB. U need to get ur act together. “no kill policy”? pfft..i kill and eat anything that tries to kill me 1st (except eating human).
“kill and eat,” jf#300!!? i wanna know what’s trying to kill you! (although i’m sure that bird-monster would make for some excellent thanksgiving eating.) 😉
Go jefbot go! major problem though. I mean, you could shield bash it, but you really need a good way to stun it so that mu can get over to this one next. Or something. or get a better weapon 😀
Someone here theorized that when Mu wields the silly prop sword, it becomes the tool of ultimate badassery. Naturally, I’m expecting ‘bot to shatter the sword in about five seconds…
heh. i don’t think Mu would be very happy in that case, JOE.
true that, HitD – bot needs to more than just shield Mu, he needs to knock that mouse OUT! we’ll see if he can get it together soon.
Y’know, maybe it’s because I was at the Legend of Zelda symphony last night (the premiere of their “second quest” season, no less!), but all I can imagine is ‘bot doing Link’s lead-up-to-battle “haaaah!”
OooOOh… i’ve wanted to check out the Zelda symphony, JOE! how was it? i have the CD of the orchestra doing that score and it’s amazing.
It was so cool…though I think I may have been a little outside the target market since I either didn’t play or didn’t finish any of the games.
The most surprising things to me was that A- there was no kind of display with concept art or anything in the lobby (my wife and I went to Star Wars in Concert a few years ago, which may have spoiled me a little bit) and B- the store only had t-shirts and posters…not even copies of Hyrule Historia.
Keep an eye on Groupon…my wife found a deal on a pair of tickets on there.
thanks for the Groupon tip, dude – i’d love to go check that concert out and get a shirt, too! but yeah, disappointing there was no concept art; i bought the Hyrule Historia a few months back and the art in that is amazing.
Alright, if he can look that badass and determined while fighting off a mutated mouse, I can make it one more day at my crummy job with crummy sleep XD
bot’s definitely getting more “badass and determined” the longer he fights these things, JR! we’ll see if he can keep it up. and one good thing to keep in mind while you’re at work: it’s friday! 😀
Go Bot!! He is looking pretty super-hero like in that last panel. Let’s hope that he learned some good moves in all those video games he’s played!
heh. he has played a lot of Street Fighter II in the past, Shanna. doubt he could do any of those moves, though. okay, maybe a little punch or knee kick. 😉
And what of this man, this Jefbot? Events will either make him into a great man, or utterly destroy him. I, for one, will hope for the “great man” ending
me too, JGT! we’ll just have to wait to see how the events of this storyline shape him.
Awww dammit! Fell asleep 10 min before this went up 🙁
Bot looks pretty determined to beat the crap out of that mouse! Yeah!!!
Maybe next time then? Though, to be fair, your previous record was already going to be hard to beat.
If I could keep the streak up for the next 2 weeks I was hoping to surpass it before disappearing hahaha
actually, i almost fell asleep 10 mins before this strip went up, f_f! coloring took longer than usual. but yeah – like Fijiman mentioned – i think your record’s gonna be hard to beat for quite some time. 🙂
Dammit Jeff! Why couldn’t you have slept away like I did!? Whyyyyy!?
I’ll come back with a vengeance next time! XD
believe me, i wanted to, f_f! (haven’t been sleeping well, lately.) and, just looking at how far i’ve gotten on Monday’s strip, it looks like that’s gonna be going up later than usual. hopefully that means i’ll be getting a little sleep tonight.
For some reason I’m thinking Matrix
you think bot’s gonna turn out to be The One, DJ? 😉
Woo! Go Jefbot!
…watch out for the tail.
good advice, Maryz. very good advice…
I wonder if Bot can actually beat this thing or if Mu is going to have to save him at the last minute.
we’ll find out soon, Fijiman. hopefully Mu will be less preoccupied shortly so he can lend a hand if things get out of control.
I’m the botman’s got this one, he will finally rise up and be the hero the city needs
heh. the city does need a hero, f_f. might take bot a bit longer to prove himself, tho.
That creature obviously wasn’t using the “crane technique”, or at least the creature wasn’t doing it correctly. As we know with the crane technique, “if do right, no can defense.”
don’t give that thing any ideas, Coolhand! bot’s already in trouble! 🙂
Nice to see Jefbot throwing down. I can see him holding the sword over his head in mighty triumph yelling, “By the power of Scrawn!”
heheh. that would be nice to see, Justice_Junkies, although we’ll see if bot’s triumphant during this battle or not. he should definitely try and use some of his Scrawn Powers, if possible, though!
Hopefully ‘bot won’t have to deal With Mutant Stimpy after he puts down Mutant Ren.
(Yeah, I know; Ren was a Chihuahua. [No one will *ever* convince me that that isn’t a Chinese name!] But from certain angles, so does that mutant mouse/chinchilla thing.)
yes, let’s hope bot doesn’t need to take on both, reynard61 – he’s going to have his hands full just taking “Ren” out! heheh.
It seems Jefbot’s not a complete wuss after all.
the night’s still young, Bender_Sastre.
i is impressed
this round goes to bot, ROM!
The question is: Will Jefbot be able to continue holding on to his peaceful ways? Stuff Happens (keeping it clean here), especially in a fight. How will he handle himself if he accidentally kills his opponent?
that’s a good question, KB – no doubt jefbot will be tested on this very thing throughout this storyline, and whether he can get through it without any blood on his hands will be difficult.
Don’t know if this was mentioned in comments on previous pages, but I’m beginning to notice sort of a connection between what’s happening here, and everything with the Angry Scarf… I think Jefbot’s gonna tap into all that pretty quick here 😀
we’ll see, Iak – if bot knew exactly where the Angry Scarf had gone off to after their last adventure, he definitely would’ve brought it along! i’m sure he’s wishing it was with him right about now, especially after the next strip…
One wonders if Jeff is at E3… I know I would be, if I could
i didn’t go this year but i did watch the Microsoft and Sony press conferences, JGT. i think i’ll wait to preorder anything so i can make a more educated decision later on, but Playstation came out very strong this year!
The Evil Mouse cannot be contained by the power of the panels! We’re all doomed!
