“eerily awesome” is a description that makes me happy, f_f. thanks!
and check you out: competition for the Shades has been pretty heavy, lately, but you nabbed ’em this round! wear them well: these make navigating dark tunnels at high speeds possible:
😎
I can’t help but imagine how fast Grimwald’s “scurry scurry scurry” speed would be. . . Let’s get some guesses going in here people! What do you think would be Grimwald’s scurrying speed?
XD I love the panel break, and the glow, and the aaaaaaawesoooome!
Heh, in seriousness, things are going really well! A really great story arc, very engaging, and happy for the ride x3
Panel 4 made me think Grimmy had sprouted antennae until I remembered his propensity for BLUs/copious wiring.
Those huge honkin’ cables do make me wonder about their destination…some kind of command center? Backup command center? Teleportation chamber? The possibilities are endless!
Dang. Those tunnels are bigger than I thought. (Bigger on the inside, perhaps?)
The last panel looks amazing, with all the lights glowing in the eerie dark tunnel. I love it! 😀
Let me Guess: Lone Ranger? Do you know why the movie was such a commercial fail? Because outside US pretty much everybody has no bloody idea what it is. I only do cause I was researching it before deciding whether I should go watch it in cinema. I didn’t go. If I ever will want to watch western I will find something old school like O.K.Corral or something with Clint Eastwood.
Anyway to the strip I will say: you have mastered drawing the lightning and shadowing for effect in foreground, background and highlight. Im looking forward for more.
yep: Lone Ranger. but more the old, classic Lone Ranger and not the Johnny Depp one. i’m not even sure they said, “Hi yo, Silver” in the new one, but i have to imagine they did. for fan service, if nothing else.
and thanks for the kudos on the lighting and shadowing! i love doing that stuff but it adds so much time to the creation of the strip. glad you find it worth it.
I said it before i will say it again: This must be the “barney” from Star ocean 2! Is this an epic mount by the way? Oh, to much world of warcraft, sorry 😉
awww… thanks, CalvinCopyright! i can’t guarantee a shirt made from that panel but i can say that there may be other designs in the works! glad you dug it, though. 😀
Tell me that last panel will at least possibly become a background option? Cause the lighting and um…ambiance? (I feel like that’s the wrong word *shrugs*) is just too awesome for it to be denied background status! 😀
hmmm… i’ll see what i can do, Insane Kitsune! no promises, but i’d like to see that as a background, too. if it happens, i’ll post it to the main blog. 😀
Things are looking eerily awesome!

I am the champion for firsting at weirdo hours hahaha
’tis true. 😀
whoa indeed
and needless to say, you gotta say it in a Keanu-voice, theBean. 😉
Thank you I could only think hi yoooo silver away but Grimwald is good too! The tunnel is just eerie enough.
glad you liked bot’s battle cry, Kris! i wonder if this makes Mu, Tonto? hmmm…
To put a slightly new spin on an old joke:
JEF: “Uh oh, Musashi! We’re surrounded!”
Mu: “What you mean ‘we’, Human?”
🙂
Woah.
Glowy rabbit is awesome.
thanks, DJ! i think life would be better if we all had a glowy rabbit. 🙂
Grimwalds lit up hands reminds me of the motorcycle light wheels in Tron Legacy.
too bad Grim can’t leave a light wall behind him, Kris! i think that would be helpful when fighting the Growlers. 😀
Yes it would be blinding at least. Tonto a hamster good name for one yes.
yes!
I can’t help but imagine how fast Grimwald’s “scurry scurry scurry” speed would be. . . Let’s get some guesses going in here people! What do you think would be Grimwald’s scurrying speed?
hmm… this will be hard to judge, but safe to say his scurrying speed will be on view in the next strip, JGT!
Have they reached their destination? Or does Grimwald have something squirreled, or should I say rabbited, away in the tunnels?
Also, what happened to Sir Cottonbottom?
looks like he’s not coming along on this ride for the time being.
not yet, Fijiman – they’re just getting started with Grimwald leaping into the tunnels.
Jefbot just couldn’t resist saying that in panel one could he? Also, ominous, yet cool final panel.
heh. nope! he just had to shout it out, GB.
XD I love the panel break, and the glow, and the aaaaaaawesoooome!

awww… thanks for saying so, Jeweledrose. i’m happy you’re enjoying the ride!

Grim does love cables, it seems, JOE! heheh. as for their destination, we’ll be seeing where this tunnel drops our crew off quite soon.
Dang. Those tunnels are bigger than I thought. (Bigger on the inside, perhaps?)

thanks, Blunz! yep, those tunnels are plenty eerie. good thing bot has a giant cave bunny on his side. 🙂
Giant cave bunnies do tend to come in handy at times like this.
yup, yup.
Methinks ‘bot is lucky Grimwald didn’t scrape him against the ceiling for that first panel! 😀
heh. yes, let’s hope there’s no “scraping” navigating through those narrow tunnels either, Sarah W.
Bahaha! Panel 2 is just hilarious!
i’m sure bot thought his battle cry was going to go off better than it did, ROM! 🙂
I’d do the same thing. Never miss an opportunity of a lifetime… When is the next time youll ride a mutated giant rabbit? Sease the moment!
true that, DAS! too bad bot’s moment didn’t go over as well as he’d hoped but still – he had to try!

ha! yes, i believe Grimwald counts as an “epic mount,” Graypatch. 🙂
I love the “Hi-yo!” bit – it’s nice to run across someone who gets the cry RIGHT! *laugh*
thanks, Keith! and it’s too bad Mu and Grim don’t share in your enthusiasm for bot’s “Hi-yo!” 😉
Awesome artwork inside the dark tunnel. The light coming from the various sources is way cool.
thanks for noticing those light sources, Shanna! i love doing that stuff as i feel it adds so much to the mood of the strip. glad you dug it. 🙂
The lighting is like shipboard lighting. Did Grim belong to a navy electrician in a past life.
it does indeed, Kris! and it’s very possible Grimmy had some sort of military past. 🙂
That picture of Grimwald in the second panel needs to be made into a sticker or t-shirt design. THAT MUST HAPPEN.
…seriously. It’s cute.
I concur.
sweet!

Yes, I’m super behind and just NOW got around to catching up (thank you inkoutbreak), but holy crap, that last panel is really badass!
