Well, here it is – the 25th JEFBOT strip! I can’t believe we’re already at 25. In many ways it seems like just yesterday I first started sketching out the characters and situations that would become JEFBOT. In other ways it seems like eons ago, when I was nervously contemplating hitting the “upload” button on that first Axis Powers strip, wondering if anyone would like it, yet here we are, 25 strips later with readership at an all time high and steadily climbing. So just wanted to say “thank you” to the regular readers and “welcome” to any new people who may just be coming on board!
CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT!
When I hit my 10th strip, I wrote in the blog that I would’ve liked to have done something to mark the occasion. Well, I’m not going to let the opportunity pass by this time, so check back in a couple of days when I announce the details of a contest to win a JEFBOT t-shirt! If you’re already on the mailing list, I’ll be sending out a reminder, and if you’re not, then send me an email by clicking here and putting “Subscribe Me” in the subject line. It’s a cool shirt – and also the first I’ve offered for the webcomic, so if you’re a fan of the strip then you’re definitely going to want a chance to get one.
Oh, and Happy New Year! I hope you’ll come along for the ride every week as JEFBOT continues to evolve and expand in 2008!
ahh karaoke, the death of any party!
Happy New Year and Congratulations on the 25th strip! Karaoke – Love it or hate it – depends on your participants. It’s actually more fun when they can’t sing and everyone else tries to help. LOL today! Wishing you continued success in 2008!
I want a Jefbot t-shirt! Happy Happy Happy 2008!
I luv your Strip! I’m surprised you haven’t been picked up nationally yet. Congrats again on the 25th strip and I’m looking forward to future 2008 strips!
Hey Jeff!
Happy New Year! Great strip once again! Nice to start the New Year out with a chuckle!
Wow! 25 already…it seems like just last week you were just at 24. 😉 I love this one!!! You truly are a master webcomicer. I just hope your karaoking is as good as your drawings. Ha! I know it is. I mean who would have thought a Japanese family would like to Karaoke on New Years? I guess you learn something new every Wednesday. Keep it up, Jefbot. The world wide web needs you.
Happy New Year! Congrats on the 25th strip… As always I laughed out loud! Nice job.
Congrats on your silver weekaversary! I was so happy to see you start the strip and keep it going this year. You’re really finding a unique voice with it. Here’s to 2500 more great strips!
fig, you mean the “life” of any party!!!
#1JF, thanks! so true – when the karaoke singers are all amazing, it gets boring real fast.
unfavorite, happy 2008 back at ya. with any luck, you’ll be one of the lucky winners!
#2JF, well, thank you! not sure if JEFBOT would be welcome in newspapers, but i’m having lots of fun out here on the world wide web.
laura, hny! hopefully the strip will keep you chuckling in ’08.
mc, yes, hard to imagine my family would be into karaoke. although i seem to remember a friend who was thrown out of a karaoke bar not too long ago. was that you?
funnyshaffer, thanks, shaf. glad you’re laughing!
john, thanks dude, it’s been fun. 2500 and beyond!
Ah! Karaoke. I think I’ve got you beat, we had 2 (that’s right- 1- 2!) Karaoke machines at the New Year’s party that I went to! Whoohoo! New Year’s just isn’t right without a little “Summer Lovin'”!
Happy New Year!
Love it!! Congrats Jeff and Happy 2008! Here’s to much success in the New Year!!!!!
LOLLLLLLLL
The singers were so talented.
mitch, wow, 2 machines!? how does that even work? dueling karaokes? that’s impressive but not sure it beats the epic, going-til-5:30am session at the schuetze’s this year, though.
mary, thanks mary! happy 2008 to you, too.
donna jean, welcome to jefbot!
Jeff,
Nice to see that wit of yours in full effect. The 25th is my first! 24 to go! Looking forward to more good stuff in 2008!
Cheers!
my favorite part of this strip is knowing exactly how you pronounce KARAOKE. 😉
andrew, thanks – hope you like #1-24!
skinny arbuckle, heheh. i just can’t bring myself to say, “CARE-EE-OH-KEE.” i’d have to turn in my japanese card.
Funaye! Of course, I’m always there to help with the drunken tunes.
There is karaoke and then there is schuetze karaoke – Michael doesn’t know what he missed.
That’s what my new years are like!!! I looove karaoke!! 😀
Heck, I’d go.
The booze is what makes the karaoke bearable!
