Knowing that this strip will be some people’s first exposure to JEFbot, completely out of context, makes me snicker quietly to myself.
Now that I’m able to catch my breath, this is a brilliant strip! The expressions in panel 2 are priceless, especially Cornfathers because it does resemble how most babies look when entering into the world! (only they are usually covered in vernix and some blood, NOT BUTTER. :P)
My overactive imagination has me playing out this strip with sound. That would be interesting.. actually putting together a strip, and having a sound .wav or mp3 coinciding with a future (or past) strip, sound effects and all. (How you don’t have a deal on a t.v. show based on this amazing strip of yours, whether it be live action or animated is beyond me.) Yet another strip to tickle the funny bone, kudos!
thanks for the great comment, Spanky! you know, i’m pretty good at Adobe Flash, and have thought about animating a JEFbot strip just for fun with movement, sound, etc. it’s just finding the time to get it all done! if i do get some animation or a live action short together, you guys will be the first to know. 🙂
Oh my god.
This is hilarious!
I LOVE the rubber glove he’s wearing. Seems to be kinda pointless after he lands in the butter though. 🙂
true that, Shan. at that point, jefbot pretty much needs a latex glove for his whole body. 🙂
Funny! Totally different look to the strip, but I love it! 🙂
yeah, i went a bit more comic booky rather than cartoony in that first panel to give it a more urgent feel. glad you liked it, janonymous!
I love the perspective in the first panel, Jeff!
thanks, Stan! appreciate that, especially coming from you, the king of multiple perspectives. 🙂
next time, use lube.
but butter’s a better visual. 🙂
“Congratulations. Now let us never speak of this again.”
Cant… breath… ROFL.
*sigh* Ah, that was a winner. Poor Michael. Poor Civic. And poor Jef, you got one NASTY mess to clean up in front of you. I can’t stop laughing! My boss is gonna call the guys in white for me today XD
ha! glad you dug it, Sonitan! and watch out for those guys in white, they’re definitely not as cool as the men in black. 😉
Oh My Gawd, bot! This was hysterical! The first panel really made me go, “Is bot delivering a baby?” The pay off in the second panel had me in awe. Fantastic strip, man! Oh, and I’m never getting in your car again. 😉
that’s probably a good idea, Michael. i don’t think we have enough butter.
That was GREAT!!!
OUTSTANDING!!! I’m still laughing…. this weeks strip is one of my favorites! Instant classic…. I LOVE the 2nd frame, I can feel the motion!!! Excellent Jefbot!
heheh. glad you liked it so much, funnyshaffer! i think this one might be one of my favs, too.
Abject Terror in jefbot’s eyes… so good. This is one where I noticed the name of the strip before the art and envisioned it. Amazing work.
so was it anything like you envisioned, eleventeen?
Loving the strip…. traumatized, but loving it 🙂
as long as there’s love mixed in with that trauma, i feel my work has been accomplished, Rachel. 😉
That’ll teach him to try to make off with your car. hehehe
heheh. true, but now jefbot has a car that’s gonna smell like curdled butter for a long time, Skreyola. 🙂
The antics! The Corn Father looks so cute being birthed and Jefbot so scared, of being squished. Those two are always having fun, even when they aren’t;)
it’s totally true that they’re “having fun, even when they aren’t,” Lor! wait. i think.
That was fantastic! Great work as always. 😀
well, thank you, Foxmouse!
Awesomeness. Like hilarious. Too much butter.
’tis true, DaughterJudy – if it wasn’t apparent before, we now know there can be such a thing as “too much butter.” 🙂
Mmmmmm. Corn with butter… Oh, wait… *rips face off while trying to claw the image out of my mind’s eye*
BTW: I don’t have a car. (Can’t afford it.) My mom has a Corolla, which is what I have to fold myself into and out of.
i used to have a corolla before the civic, reynard61! loved that car too, but it was even tinier, so i understand your pain.
I’m never eating butter again!
there’s always margarine, John. 😉
hahahaha, oh my god! this strip is too funny! buttericious!
thanks, alecho! glad you like buttericious humor!
MY EYES. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GET IT OFF MY FACE. I NEED INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH BLEACH TO GET THIS HORROR OFF MY EYES. HAND ME A GUN. I NEED TO BLOW MY BRAINS OUT.
lol…a great strip…im shocked and awed. now for a bottle of vodka to forget this.
sorry bout that, JF3! but i have an extra bottle of vodka if you need it. 🙂
Everything is better with butter! Awesome strip!
thanks, d.lio! love your current M-O avatar, btw. was one of my favorite things about WALL•E!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I never thought I’d live to see a car give birth…but alas it has happened.
Great expression of terror in the second strip Bot. And I can just hear the shame and chagrin in your voice in the last panel.
and giving birth to the Cornfather was no easy task for that car, let me tell ya, Eptha. without an epidural, even! 😉
HAHAHAHA!!!!XD amazing, totally brilliant!
thanks, nicodemus! i knew some people were going to like this strip and others would be disgusted. glad you’re on the “liked it” side!
I love the way the rubber gloves are drawn and I have no idea. If I had a poster of that first panel without the text, it would go up on my wall immediately.
awww, thanks, Takia! way to “butter” me up! *groan* sorry, had to. a poster might be kind of expensive, but would a computer wallpaper do?
Jeff! I love this one!!! xDDD My ribs hurtz!! I started cracking up after I saw the first panel xDDDD
This makes me think of every single time I’ve moved a gigantic tarp. Oy.
No! But… The jaws… I have them… I WAS GONNA GET TO CUT!
ROFL! this is SO on my top 5 best jefbot comics ever made!!!
