hope Michael saw your comment, Maryz. that’s definitely how it’s done when you’re first! glad you liked the panels – the ninja star is a glaive from an 80s movie called “Krull” and the portrait is of Marlon Brando as the Godfather. 🙂
hey, Shan! as far as having your own glaive, you can either go on a quest to find one and pull it out of molten lava or, you know, buy a fanmade one on ebay. 😉
We warned (or at least I think we tried!) you, Michael!
*evil laugh of doom*
Margaritas MAY help you numb now the pain… and to ignore the blood… ’cause ther will be so much blood…
*happy as a clam*
i think at this point the Cornfather would best be served by skipping the margaritas and doing straight shots of tequila, Sonitan! as for whether or not there will be blood, there just might be some after what happens in the next strip…
Poor Jefbot! Will Cel return his message? Will he find nerd-love!? Will he make it in time for a margarita? The suspense is killing me! I love it!!! So funny 😀
Wow! I was laughing at the avatar you used for todays botmail message, but I am dying over here right now! CF’s face is priceless in the 2nd panel! Not only that, but the color seemed to have left the room when that glaive was thrown! Love the sound effects, and the strip all around! When I saw this, I thought of the one South Park disc, where Matt and Trey are at a retirement home singing and entertaining senior citizens. Matt then proceeds to warn an “unruly” senior citizen to sit down, and yells “NINJA STAR!” This strip made me think of that! Kudos!
the image of the Godfather on the botMAIL “stamp” was funny to me cuz it was so random without the context of today’s strip! glad you dug it too, Spanky. 🙂 i haven’t seen that Matt & Trey skit but it sounds awesome. do you remember which DVD set it’s from?
totally down for that! been playing inFamous on my PS3 lately, but i’ll power up my 360 if you wanna tear something up! see you on XBOX Live, Spanks. 😀
NOT “THE GODFATHER” PICTURE!! Ha! Really funny, bot! I love The Cornfather’s facial expressions and that knife thingy is really cool. 😉 Great work again. Now let’s go to the BEAAAATTTCCCHHHH!!!!
Nice strip, but my excitement of seeing the glaive from Krull was tempered a bit by an overwhelming feeling of nerdiness when I realized I was perhaps one of the few (along with some other strip readers) who knew what the glaive actually was as soon as I saw it! Reminds me of when the Bot and I saw Titan A.E. with about 8 other people in the whole theater. Our enjoyment of the movie took a step backward at the end when we saw the guy dressed up in his full Star Trek uniform in the theater and had to walk out with him. Walking out with Geordi La Forge (I don’t even get that for Titan AE), we had to do the nerdy walk of shame that day.
i hear ya about that “overwhelming sense of nerdiness” felt when we saw Titan AE. super-lame. now let’s get our Hogwarts costumes together so we can see Half-Blood Prince this weekend.
I’m not the only person who remembers “Krull” it seems. Anyone remember Liam Neeson was in it? That was back before he hit it big and had to play second banana roles like this and as Patrick Swayze’s brother in “Next of Kin” (also starring Ben Stiller in an early role).
Wow, the spinny thing from Krull. I always wanted one but my parents wouldn’t buy me one. I made a funcional one out of Legos that was bigger than my head while deployed. When i threw it it put a hole in the wall and shattered at the same time. My parents were pissed.
ooh, sorry ’bout the pissed parents, CheddarMan, but your story makes me long to play Lego Krull! now that they’ve made videogame Lego versions of Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones and (soon to be released) Harry Potter, why not Krull? the Lego glaive would be awesome (and safe for your walls!).
yep, it was called “Dark Sector” Jeff, and while it has no relation to Krull beyond a glaive-type weapon, i hear it was a pretty decent game. i’ll probably pick it up when it gets in the $15 range.
(lol and face grabbing later on in shock disbelief)…..1. cant believe my eyes when i saw that thing flew so close to CF face….2. love the look on CF face…looks genuinely terrified and that face was carried over to the third panel. 3. OMG its the glaive from Krull…..been a long time since i last saw it….4. also agree with spanky…the black n white background further enhances the point…no pun intended…..of JB being very angry…..remember JB’s figurine CF? get it now before its too late….a hostage is what can save your skin, blood and life now…….
heheh. glad you liked the Cornfather’s terrified look in panel 2, JF3 – the sound of a record needle scratch a la the Ren and Stimpy Show would be appropriate there. and yes, the Cornfather just might need a hostage after what he did – i guess it depends on whether you believe jefbot was aiming for the picture, or actually missed his intended target to the left of it… 🙂
WOO! I read all your comics from start to here, I got to say, Grade DBZ BT3 Z GRADED!
If you don’t know that term, …….I’ll find you and be more worse than Jefbots older sister 0_e
worse than Xinda!? i think she could take on 10 Friezas and a few Majin Buus, Zach Light! 🙂 thanks for going through all the strips and leaving comments – happy to have you on board! 😀
10 frieza, peshaw, I beat 20 SS4Gogetas with young teen gohan!(cell saga)
Any way yeah, your comic is in my fav list, I also mind some day takeing you on in halo or something.
yowch! my sis might have to start training harder, Zach. heheh. and yeah, haven’t played Halo in a long time (except for Wars), but i’m always up for playing with friends and readers, so send me an add request. 🙂
Too bad the glaive is buried in the Iron Mountain eh? Krull was the first movie i rented as a kid, my givers got pretty steamed when i got back with it and realised where the change from dinner went to. What can you expect though if you send a six year old to buy fish ‘n’ chips at a takeaway with a video library in it. Oh yeah i have my own copy these days and although it may just be my opinion but it really does stand up quite well. Masses of easily recognisable (if you’re british) actors. i always find it quite difficult to take Bernard Bresslaw of Carry On fame as Rell the Cyclops seriously, oh Matron!
ha! awesome, Deaconvorbis. i’m sure Krull was one of the first movies i rented, too, along with The Last Starfighter and Flash Gordon. heheh. glad to hear you think it holds up well – with all these enthusiastic comments, i’m anxious to see it again!
First! YAY!
Thats how its done Michael if you are first to comment.
Ehm… Murderous Jefbot. Cornfather scared shitless. Ninja throwing stars. Killer punchline. Perfection!!!
Nice portrait on the wall by the way.
hope Michael saw your comment, Maryz. that’s definitely how it’s done when you’re first! glad you liked the panels – the ninja star is a glaive from an 80s movie called “Krull” and the portrait is of Marlon Brando as the Godfather. 🙂
OooOo I want one!

Is that a collectors item from the 80’s movie Krull. I think it just might be
you think correctly, RAlonzo! apparently, jefbot’s a fan of Krull and owns a replica of the glaive.
We warned (or at least I think we tried!) you, Michael!

thanks, Jeff! all will be revealed soon. 🙂
Mmm… Krull. One of the greatest fantasy films ever. 😀
i used to love it as a kid, Klowd19, but afraid to watch it now for fear it may not hold up.
Yay! Krull!
woo-hoo! 😀
Nice Glave 🙂
isn’t it, tho? i think we could all use one. dontcha think, Hans? 😉
Not the Godfather! Ouch… well I guess that will teach The Cornfather to rush the Jefbot! I LOVE the poster!!! You are amazing! Such a stellar artist!
thanks, funnyshaffer! glad you dug the (now punctured) Godfather pic. 🙂

By the way, added you to my account on my boyfriends 360, so we need to tear it up sometime soon! Whatcha say?!? 😛
totally down for that! been playing inFamous on my PS3 lately, but i’ll power up my 360 if you wanna tear something up! see you on XBOX Live, Spanks. 😀
Blasphemy!!! I like the Godfather pic juxtaposed with the title…nice touch!
thanks, dude. it did feel a little blasphemous to “glaive” the Godfather. 🙂
NOT “THE GODFATHER” PICTURE!! Ha! Really funny, bot! I love The Cornfather’s facial expressions and that knife thingy is really cool. 😉 Great work again. Now let’s go to the BEAAAATTTCCCHHHH!!!!
thanks, man! and can’t wait to go to the beeatch. haven’t been all summer.
Nice strip, but my excitement of seeing the glaive from Krull was tempered a bit by an overwhelming feeling of nerdiness when I realized I was perhaps one of the few (along with some other strip readers) who knew what the glaive actually was as soon as I saw it! Every-time I see a glaive I’m like KRULLLLLL! then I think I might be the only human being that remembers that classic.
go on and shout “KRULLLLLL!” all you want here, RAlonzo! i think you’ll find a lot of like-minded peeps in these comments who won’t mind. 🙂
I want one! Oh yes i will have one.. and it will be shiney and mine.. did i say mine.. oh yes.
ha! just be careful when throwing it, epikto; glaives tend to curve to the right, as this strip clearly demonstrates. 😉
I’m not the only person who remembers “Krull” it seems. Anyone remember Liam Neeson was in it? That was back before he hit it big and had to play second banana roles like this and as Patrick Swayze’s brother in “Next of Kin” (also starring Ben Stiller in an early role).
*buh* dammit, Greg. i really do have to risk my childhood memories of Krull being trampled and see the film again with adult eyes, don’t i?
Anyone got a Fire Mare, okay did I go to far, I think I went to far 🙂
Fire Mares!? awesome, but yeah, you went too far, RAlonzo. 😉
Wow, the spinny thing from Krull. I always wanted one but my parents wouldn’t buy me one. I made a funcional one out of Legos that was bigger than my head while deployed. When i threw it it put a hole in the wall and shattered at the same time. My parents were pissed.

Glaves…where do I know those from? Isn’t there a recent video game where the main character carries one? Either way–awesome job as usual, Jeff!
yep, it was called “Dark Sector” Jeff, and while it has no relation to Krull beyond a glaive-type weapon, i hear it was a pretty decent game. i’ll probably pick it up when it gets in the $15 range.

poor cornfather. he looks like he shit himself
that’s not out of the realm of possibility, DJ. 🙂
WOO! I read all your comics from start to here, I got to say, Grade DBZ BT3 Z GRADED!

Ha great comic, just finished reading the archive.
big thanks for reading through the archive, Kerosus! hope you’ll be back for more. 😀

I’m not exactly sure, but I think it’s the intro for Season 2 episode 4. If I’m wrong, then I suck. 😛
heheh. no worries, Spanky! those early seasons are classics, so i can’t go wrong watching those discs, even if it’s not on there. 🙂
Nice shot!
Great… now I need to dig up Krull from somewhere and watch it… It’s been far too long since I’ve seen a cheesie 80’s steroid SciFi film.
…and here I was sure a glaive was like a pike, only with more blade on a six-foot pole…
WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET A REPLICA OF THE GLAIVE?
o.O
Want.
Right.
Now.
I WILL SELL YOU MY SOUL!
erm *cough* I get kinda….excited by shiny weapons. I own quite a few….heheh…
YOU KILLED THE GODFATHER!!! now the mob will be after you.
And, that’s the way to be pissed off. Kudos!
Nice shot, btw! (and, it’s right at the chest too. *evil laughs*)
I want. Gimmeee glaive! O.O
